I decided this year I’m going to try and write my own Impulse fan comic this year. I don’t have great fine motor control, or vision, or anything, just a love of the craft and a need for my story to get out.

An automatic content warning on a missing persons post for a trans woman is the most vile and evil shit this site can fucking do
Original post
Please keep an eye out if you’re in the New Orleans area
dont get me fucking started girl -_- i requested a review. im too tired to do much else
Reblog if you're black tumblr.
You don’t have to be black, it just means you support us, you stand by us and your for us.
BLM is still a thing. If you don’t reblog this, but would’ve in June/July you were only in support of black lives when it was a trend. They still need justice
everyone deserves equality <3
yeah im “transitioning” *dissolves into tiny pieces as i click to the next slide*

Tw: active ED
Another pride month and I’m back in ED treatment again.
Being a DC fan in actuality is really fucking funny because you’ll mostly stay in your own corner with passing knowledge on other characters and then sometimes discourse you’ve never heard of pops up on your dash about another subset of DC and when you click on it it’s apparently an argument that’s been going on for 20+ years and has divided the entire character tag, had 3 writers fired, forced DC editorial to step in only to get lashed off the internet, led to 7 fist fights and also Batman is There. And then you click out of it and Never Hear Of It Again.
Not removed enough!
This is WALLY not Barry.
1. Eating meat is morally neutral 2. There are many ethical ways butchering has been practiced for a long time 3. factory farming is unethical due to the abuse faced in the animal's life, not bc it results in the animal's death 4. Ethically raised and sourced meat is expensive and/or hard to find in many places 5. *there are people who CANNOT subsist on a plant based diet* for varied reasons, largely disabled folks - (allergies/GI disorders that already limit what a person can eat, people in recovery from restrictive eating disorders, people with ARFID and other sensory processing disorders) and people with little money and time on their hands to cook. 6. Vegans who are adamant about animal rights often have a major blind spot as to human rights abuses; the meatpacking industry is terrible for those who work in it, yes, but people are laboring hard for your grains and produce too, often in unethical conditions and for little pay, and Vegans will treat you like you're doing some kinda "gotcha" and spit vitriol at you whenever you point this out 7. It is not Wrong to eat only plant based certainly but when people start acting like it gives them a moral highground it shows starkly how little regard for fellow humans these people have 8. Just because YOU are disabled/broke/etc and can sustain veganism does not give you permission to harass somebody who says their disability or finances prevent it 9. The most ethical way to eat, if you can achieve it, is by buying things with a short supply chain that were grown locally by properly-paid laborers
10. there is currently no way to get vitamin B12 in a vegan diet without supplementing, and vegans have increased risk of nutrient deficiencies unless they meticulously plan their diet and/or take other supplements as well. I don't love the idea of advocating for a wholesale switch to a diet reliant on vitamin/supplement companies' products
11. leather, which is a very useful material for many purposes, is a byproduct of the beef industry. all currently available leather alternatives are plastic, which causes large-scale environmental destruction including but not limited to animal habitat loss (yes, even the "pineapple" and "cactus" leathers- they're processed with so much plastic that they are essentially just plastic by the end). no beef = no leather = increasing plastic dependence. ditto wool, but this is about materials related to eating animals, so. leaving that out for now
12. Many life saving medications rely on animal byproducts and there is currently no way to entirely eliminate that without throwing entire vulnerable populations under the bus.
You really can’t understand how this one in particular frustrates me as a person with an anaphylactic dairy allergy. Can’t even have meds with lactose due to cross contamination. Insurance won’t pay for compounded meds, so I often go without.
Yet another new study debunked the basis for the anti-trans sports bans. It was never about sports but for creating legal avenues for exclusion and abjection. This is one of the largest analyses ever conducted, involving 52 studies and 6,485 trans people. Read the study here.
post so nice had to reblog it twice and force it down everyone's throats
At minimum about 4.5 thousand people liked this without reblogging it.
We gotta fix that.
I’m really liking my ED program. I spend half the day in the mainstream ED vPHP program, and half the day in the autism and ND informed ARFID program. It’s really helped break down the barriers to eating.
"Learn intersectionality!!!!" Well, I did. On college. Reading articles and writing essays about it. My teacher talked about how the original essay was how about the black woman experience was very different from a white woman because of the way racism was interweaved on the misogyny suffered by black women. I remember how she said the concept was expanded upon other compound identities and how you could use it to understand why black men were the most incarcerated population. She brought up that this is the same thing that makes trans women experience transmisogny violence and how lesbians would have an specific kind of homophobia — lesbophobia — directed at them, a direct result of them being lesbians. On how black gay men face racism AND homophobia, and because they're seem as "more masculine", people always expect them to be tops and how asian men are seem as "less men" for being "more feminine" in comparation to european men.
And then I get on the internet and I say "trans men are oppressed for being trans men and have specific experiences caused because they're both trans and men, and this happens because intersectionality, where you can't pull apart the trans part from the man part, creating an entirely new experience" and people answer with "trans men can't be oppressed because men aren't oppressed"
And I am like yes that's why I said trans men like. The adjective before the man is important.
And they look at me and say that I am crazy for talking about this because intersectionality is clearly meant for girls only, and since trans men choose to be the enemy, they cannot create a theory on their own oppression.
And then you point out facts like how trans men are the most likely to be sexually assaulted and how hate crimes are taken as feminicides therefore trans men being murdered isn't properly registered, how there's not a single law in place to protect trans men from domestic violence, and how there's medical misogyny involved on how trans men bottom surgery is underdeveloped and that trans men are in high risk of forced pregnancy so they detransition and people tell you you're a dirty MRA clearly wanting to still have the special treatment you had as a girl and you're a cheating liar for thinking you're being oppressed for being a man.
And you're just like okay. So you're just ignoring everything I said. Cool. When I was a woman, they did so because I was a crazy feminist. Now that I am a man they malgender me to tell me I have no place in feminism because men shouldn't take part in that. I was a feminist before I was a man and I just don't think how I would suddenly drop my feminism once I became a man.
I started writing a story where Bart has dual sensory impairments and is bullying Tim into wearing his glasses.
good old doodle
Ngl I find it odd that there are a number of fans for Wally that genuinely believe that because he was abused himself and is mentally ill, he is therefore absolved from any wrongdoing with Bart EVER and any conversation about his shortcomings are invalid unless his own past is taken into consideration. Being in this fandom for over 20 years, closer to 30 if we count early childhood, I can honestly say this is fairly recent behavior.
Wally isn't a real character, first and foremost. He has no thoughts of his own and has zero agency. His history is a story of abuse, trauma, growth, and love in all its messiness, so it's weird to me to see such dense approaches to him.
Yes, his own anxiety, trauma, and abuse is a factor that explains his approach to Bart - but also he is a jerk and there is no way around it. He was written as not believing in Bart and his capabilities and outright refused to meet him where he actually was and was a bully in many such cases. These are facts. The story still unfolded the way it did for a reason. It means something. But that meaning is so very seldom looked for in many readers who want only to pay attention to the best and excuse the worst.
I think you’ll really like how I’m writing that into my story, if I ever get around to posting it. It’s not a *major* part of the story, but I have a chapter purely dedicated to Bart deciding who is safe to disclose to (in terms of mental health) and Wally is in an immediate low/no disclosure because of his behaviors towards Bart impacting Bart’s mental health.
“Oh this character is SOOOOOO immature” NO SHIT THAT CHARACTER IS 14
“Why didn’t they do the most logical thing” BECAUSE THEY ARE A CHILD
Bart Allen loving Dox so much his connection to the speed force is accidentally imbued within him and Bart suddenly has an immortal dog that's just not aging at all. Vets call Dox a marvel and it takes Bart over a decade to finally put together that, no, Dox is not just lucky - he is one of his lightning rods.
