“…….” Was that true? He never spoke with his Brother so much, so he doesn’t really know about Aspros’s conditions. Then again, it’s just a rumor, right? But what if it’s really true? And Aspros never really wanted to talk about it? Maybe he should ask his Brother about it.

Then again, if that’s really true, he couldn’t imagine how damaged his Brother’s pride can be. Perhaps he should build up a grave for it.

Aspros frowned. The childish act now got him in trouble with his brother. He wasn’t lying however. This marriage is a joke. 

“I apologize for the misleading gestures,” he muttered. He didn’t want his brother to conceive a wrong idea, however he is not going to beat the idea into his head. He already told him, it’s up to him if he believed it or not. “If that is all, I’ll be taking my leave. I need to talk to someone about some things regarding this matter…”

“... No need to apologize.” He sighed a bit as he glanced to his Brother. Perhaps he was being too much before. Though-- Perhaps instincts has take him over because of Aspros’s gestures, which made him thought that his Brother is lying against him. Perhaps-- he should refrain himself next time. He shouldn’t bother his Brother’s life too much after all.

“Go ahead, I won’t keep you here any longer.” He said as he turned his back.

Manigoldo looked appalled and held his hand to his own chest as he made offended noises. “What is that suppose to mean, Defteros?!”

Goddamn, this Man sure doesn’t make any effort at all when he’s lying. “......” He only squinted his eye in irritated manner.

Manigoldo glared at her with a hiss. He wiped off his nose a few more times just in case there was left overs. “Oh don’t even tempt me. So what if I fainted?” 

He got up and brushed himself off. He never really done anything of the sort they were talking about. Manigoldo kept his half-lidded eyes glued on the female Defteros’ face and face only. Like hell he’d look down again. “Besides, I don’t need to prove anything to you!”

“Well.. You don’t need to prove anything to me anyways. Proven already.” She shrugged as she sighed. Staring at the Cancer Saint for a moment before her eyes, she closed them before turning her back against him.

“I guess that’s enough for today. Thank Athena for that, Crab.” She scoffed lightly as she started to walked away, waving her hand lazily on the air.

He was too stunned and stiff to actually believe in all of this. Manigoldo couldn’t really crack a joke or anything. He couldn’t even force himself to smile violent or try to taunt the man. All he could do was feel anger.

He hated and despised Aspros for his cruel attempt and betrayal. For almost taking the life of the man who saved him from a useless and hallow void of a life away. This man who saved him, he saw as the father he wished he had.

Defteros was different, right? Sure the man came off as cold, unfeeling, brooding, and uninterested. Especially irritated and uncaring for the Cancerian’s presence. But Manigoldo at least felt that Defteros was better than Aspros. That he never had that cruel hearted killing thoughts like his elder twin brother did. 

This. This right now. It felt like a play of mockery on Manigoldo’s trust on Defteros. Perhaps his emotions ran too wild. Manigoldo snarled, a beastly glint in his eyes as he started to walk towards Defteros with furious, blind intent. His teeth clenched tightly with brows furrowed and fists clenched.  His voice came out in a growl so unnatural for his usual personality, “Why the hell did you go through with it then?! Did you do it because he was your damn brother!? Did you do it because you hated the Pope?!”

It won’t be very surprising seeing the surprised, shocked, and disbelief all splattered on the Cancerian’s face. Added with a burning taste of anger and... One thing he didn’t expect to see from Manigoldo. Betrayal.

Why would this Cancerian glared at him as if he’s feeling betrayed? For someone who had experience a very deep betrayal himself, Defteros won’t mistaken that look on Manigoldo’s eyes with another state of emotions. What sort of good thing he had done anyways to this Cancer Saint to gain on his good side-- or something like that.

This is hilariously foolish and it’s better that he doesn’t think further about this matter. He fails to see the importance of the matter anyways.

Seeing the younger male walked straight towards his directions, Defteros straighten up his back as he started to unfold his arms. The slight twisted smile on his lips has disappeared from his lips, but he didn’t lose his composure at all. He glared coldly at the younger male before him.

“Unlike you who didn’t share the same blood with your ‘Father’ figure, of course you wouldn’t understand. The answer of ‘because he is my damn brother’ surely won’t be enough for you.” He scoffed, “Why? Because it was needed. My Brother needs to ascend the throne to become the pope after all. And about time as well for Sage to give the Pope crown to someone else.”

I will go through anything, after all. For him.

“Aspros.” He called his Brother’s name. “I am standing right here in front of you, not on your side.” He said in a quite stern voice. “Look at my face when you speak with me.”

Aspros actually sweat dropped a little. When did Defteros ended up sounding like a mother? The elder twin looked up into his brother’s eyes and frowned. “What? I told you that it is a joke.” Then he raised a brow and crossed his arms over his chest. “Are you suspecting something else, Defteros?”

He needed to get the heat off his back. He would first do that by stop acting childish. Secondly, he’d… probably get that divorce with Manigoldo as soon as possible.

The tense of the atmosphere didn't go down at all for several minutes. He kept staring at his Brother, almost glaring. Honestly, he doesn't like it when he sensed that his Brother is lying to him. It nauseating for some reason and made him anxious in a quite unhealthy way for his mental health. Though, he tries his hardest to keep his head cold right now.

"...." Closing his eyes, he gave a small sighs and turned his face away from his Brother. "You gave off a very suspicious vibe and gestures before. It would be normal if I suspect you."

"Although if you insist, then so be it."

Tilting his head a bit to his side, he took a breathe in, “You don’t really love him and all those marriage shits is still a joke, right?” He furrowed his eyebrows, gazing stright through his Brother’s eyes.

Aspros averted his eyes and played with a lock of his hair. Would it really be a joke? He would think so. However, talking with his brother made him think more in-depth about the situation. Then he accidentally scratched his cheek lightly.

“Ah… Yeah. It’s a joke. It’s still is a joke…” he murmured while avoiding eye contact. “You think I have time for something like this? I really don’t. This is a waste to be honest. So yeah, it’s a joke.” 

Then he looked off in the other direction innocently.

Truth to be told, he could not believe any of the stories that Aspros had told him right now. He felt a sudden stinging pain on his brain, especially when he heard that his Brother got married with a fucking Manigoldo.
