«♛» ─ There was something indeed otherworldly about her; something alien and yet… held a hint of familiarity as well. Perhaps it was due to his own genes, being an elf & naturally tied to the ever present will of mother nature, his senses were as much connected to the presence of Life as they were to Death. One could not exist without the other, it could not thrive. His eyes gloss over faintly as hazy visions of robust fields and rolling hills of wild flowers surround him. Yet in the center of this wonderland laid a shadow…. something that could not be pierced by the light of the sun. This figure was not notorious in any way….but it’s visage alone was enough to suck the earth DRY of it’s bounty, leaving behind only the husks of what was there before.
He had only felt this way when around Hades, more so when the deity was angered or displeased in any fashion…. but this sensation was different with her. …More primal & unpredictable. His shoulders stiffen as he draws them back & tilts his head upward, his chest puffing as a soft yet unhinged scoff leaves his tongue. He was clearly on the defense now, guarded, but he refuses to let any creeping discomfort show through. He was far too prideful to allow something as silly as fear make him look like a fool.
“Is that right? What are you his new assistant?” A query that would most likely remain rhetorical, considering she saw it fit to not even give her name. “Whatever. I guess I’ll just reschedule, it’s not like I had anything important to do later. Hmph!” How annoying! Not only did he miss his appointment entirely but this woman….her powerful aura aside, something else about her got under his skin. … Irked him, you could say. Just what was her relationship with Hades? “T’ch. I’m Randall by the way. In case it wasn’t obvious, I’m one of Lord Hades’s models. …Long term, I might add! I’ve been with this label for 6 successful years. I’m sure he’s at least mentioned me in conversation, of course.”
“Something like that.” she muses lightly as she observes him very much like one would a specimen under glass. He was not one of her dear crows. Although he wasn't lacking in what others would call sin. Gluttony, Lust, Pride – all tied together with gilded strings of Wrath and Envy.
Yet, it wasn't her place to judge. Too many of her kind forgot that. Her place specifically was to Forgive. So when he puffs out his chest, she continues to play along. As best she can anyway. What was six years to a primordial being that measured their life in eons? Saraqael's eyes seemed to look straight through Randall, or maybe seeing him in his entirety.
“Quite the tenure. I'm sure Lord Hades is wounded to have inconvenienced you so.” she tilts her head, one of her brows raising skyward, “I can only assume he wouldn't dare to cast such an asset aside lightly, correct?”
The softness in her gaze gains a subtle edge although her tone remains serene, “...So many years given and yet you remain unsatisfied. I wonder why that is?”
