In all honestly she hadn’t anticipated his return. Her mind had delved into dark places, had jumped to the worst case scenario after two months of no contact. To hear his voice, as bitter as it may sound, is comforting to her. She lets out a slow exhale and nods to his words.
"I see… I’ll ask him then, really I’m just.. happy to see you back." A soft smile pulls at her lips and her hand slips from his shoulder, moving down to rest on his arm. She suspects the Uchiha family has something to do with this, but she doesn’t ask — she doesn’t want to press.
"You.. you feel better now that you’re back, right? Is there anything you need? Want? Does.. Sasuke know you’re back?"
"Sasuke will be aware of my return. I dropped him a message upon arriving, he knows I like time to settle back." There's a pause for moment, eyes flickering over towards her for moments. He's a lot sicker health wise then he looks.
"You're lucky that Obito had spare medication of mine, my treatment, at least what pertained to me, wasn't pleasant. What matters however is that I'm back, and there a matter of a painting that I have for you and Obito to keep."
