The widening smile, relaxing body posture … yes, that was better. Harry disliked formalities, though he’d keep the titles in place ( for his Highness ) until otherwise told. It was only right, not to mention, a safe-guard just in case he wasn’t as loose as Harry himself was. Not to mention, in a room full of dignitaries … to discourage the title might seem premature and … ugh …
This was why Harry loathed politics.
“ We’d be lucky ta have you come visit! “ Harry toned back, and there’s sincerity within his tone. “ I’m sure ya’d love our town. The Guilds are quite the spectacle t’see, especially for a first time. “ He nods at that, because they are impressive. Altosk in itself was impressive, not to mention the entirety of the Guilds. Then, if one combined with the Empire …
… Bloody hell, one would be in for a treat. At the mention of a tour, Harry’s eyes widened a tad. ( he was never quite good at masking emotions or thoughts ) “ Ya don’t have to, I’m sure after this evening yer gonna be swamped, would want some rest? “ Harry scratched at the back of his head, a light dusting of pink from realization his statement had been taken with some seriousness. Then, it cleared, and he breathed.
“ It’d be an honor. “ he admitted, slowly, “ Though ‘m not sure if yer highness would find my Guilds ‘political’ situation very interestin’. I’ve often been told by our neighboring nation we’re a bit of a boorish and barbarian group in comparison. “ though, he didn’t find anything wrong with that. The simple system was something Harry could keep up with, not to mention the lack of formalities among the meetings ( or the low or only basic ones ) helped keep his head cool.
He didn’t have to completely censor himself among them.
Unlike here. “ Knowledge’d be good, and I’ll tell ya what I can ‘bout the Guilds, though you’ll have to excuse me if I can’t explain all of it. There’s certain complications ‘mong the Guilds in general when it comes to … “ well, not uniting, but, “ … one set of rules. ” Each guild had their own rules for their members. Dhangrest itself had a basic set of rules: no stealing, no murder ( this is highlighted, because killing is not the same as murder ), et cetera … it’s how they worked so well, and people respected that.
But oh, at the mention of food, Harry’s blue eyes seemed to sparkle in intrigue. Listening carefully and interestedly. The supply-demand of food was something he paid attention to ( imported and exported goods were always something he had to think of between the empire and the Guilds, what crops could be grown, what food salvaged … ) and his face twisted into a big grin.
Excited and interested he listens and nods, making mental notes to ask about the likelihood of perhaps becoming trading partners in the form of consumer goods for their work force. It was a possibility … though, there was also the weapons of the Soul Smiths ( if he could get them to agree ) that could work for a good export as well.
There’s a whistle in appreciation. He enjoyed all sorts of food ( sweets were good, just as tarts and the like, ) however at the mention of the preferred food, Harry chuckled a bit, a soft snort escaping under his breath, hand quick to mask it before lowering it again. “ I have a lotta things t’try out, then! “ He replied with good humor, stuffing hands underneath his belt. Head tipping to the side as he glanced away.
“ I’m a bit of a … lover of foods. Professionally, a’course. “ He jabbed lightly, winking, “ they jus’ forgot that lovely title. Wasn’t noble ‘nough. “
