I was created to strengthen, encourage and bring restoration to the lives of others. I pray my writings will bring life where there is death, joy where there is sorrow, healing where there is sickness, peace where there is confusion and light where darkness resides. This is a side view of my front porch. Every year from Memorial Day through Independence Day, I fly my American flag to honor those who served, sacrificed and died for our country. I'm proud to be an American, but more importantly. I'm extremely glad to know Christ as my personal Savior. I'm even more thankful that He chose to suffer and die that I might have life. He didn't have to do it; but he did. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives; all fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future. As I look back over my life, I have many, many wonderful memories. Nestled among them are also very painful ones. Memories of loneliness and desolation, hopelessness and despair. Yet I'm reminded that through it all God was there AND HE STILL IS... guiding me, providing for me (and my family), strengthening me, carrying me when my strength fails. His Word is the light that helps me see my way when darkness surrounds me. His peace fills my heart. His grace, mercy and love is readily available; and His presence (Ohhh His magnificent presence) is always so obvious. I often pray as David did when he said "Create in me a clean heart Lord; and renew in me a right spirit." He went on to say "Make me to hear joy and gladness that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice." The journey has not been easy, but it will always be worth it.
