We humans by nature are pretty self-sufficient beings, and we prefer it that way. We like to feel like we can provide for our own needs and that of our families. Sometimes we can get caught up in our successes and boast in ourselves for what we can accomplish. Then we become devastated when we fail or go through difficulties.

But God says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” When we choose to have an attitude like Paul, where we are not afraid to face weaknesses or hard times, God shows His power. When God moves when we’re in a hard, uncomfortable, or impossible place in our lives, then we can truly see how great God is.
