My legs were made for walking, not to look skinny. My tummy was made for holding my organs, not to be flat. My bones were made as a structural foundation for my body, not to stick out. Appreciate what your body can do for you instead of trying to make it 'look good'.

God never intended for us to put off our happiness. We have a choice to make each and every day. We have to set our minds in the right direction. That’s why David said, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” He was saying, “This is the day to be happy; not tomorrow, not when the weather clears up. Not next week, when I don’t have to work so hard. Not next month, when I make it through this difficult time.” No, choose to honor the Lord right now by choosing to enjoy your life. Get rid of the excuses and rejoice because this is the day that the Lord has made!
“The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
What are you doing to bring your dreams to pass? Are you getting prepared? Do you have clear direction? Are you taking steps of faith? Success is intentional. You may not know what steps to take right now, but God has a good plan for your life. If you’ll do your part to seek Him and begin to make plans to succeed, God will guide you. He will direct your steps. You don’t have to vaguely go through life. God wants to show you His plan. He wants to pour out His blessing on you and see you living a life of victory.
Decide today to make plans to succeed. Write down your goals. Make time to evaluate where you are in life. Evaluate your finances, your career, your relationships. Don’t go another week without having a plan for your future. Evaluate how you’re spending your time and money. If you’ll go beyond dreaming and start making plans to succeed, God promises He’s going to direct your steps. He will lead you down the path of His favor. He’ll lead you into increase. He’ll lead you into promotion, and you’re going to see your dreams come to pass and walk in success in every area of your life!
Can you see the “brand new thing” God is doing in your life? Sometimes it’s easy to see the hand of God moving, and sometimes the storms of life can cloud our vision. But no matter where you are in life today, meditate on this truth that God is working even when you can’t see Him.
Some of you know my dad, Sergio Bondi. Most haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him. But if you do know him, he really has one of those personalities that you won’t ever forget. He’s kind without fault and literally would go completely out of his way to help someone out. He’s honestly the most genuine person I’ve ever met. (My brother and I are always asking each other how we came from someone so nice and honest when we can be such scheming little brats.)
This past summer, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a deadly cancer with vague and unobvious symptoms. The only way we found out was because he caught a cold and my mom’s persistent (and boy, are we grateful for how infallibly determined she can be) nagging that made him finally go to the doctor for a check-up.
We were lucky we found it “early.” Acute Myeloid Leukemia is a fast-acting cancer; it doesn’t have stages. It just happens.
My dad went right in and started an intense chemo therapy treatment. He handled it like a boss, and we are happy to say that it was effective. He’s currently in remission.
But this type of cancer can come back and likely will. To stop that, he needs to have a bone marrow transplant. And in order to have a bone marrow transplant, you need a bone marrow donor that is a match. Usually, doctors test siblings. My dad has one brother, and he’s only a half-match. My brother and I are only half matches as well. We’re looking for a full match.
This is where I ask for the huge favor, and honestly, the only real big favor I’d ask of you. Become a donor. I know when someone sees “donor,” they think about their organs. But becoming a bone marrow donor just means parting from a few stem cells. It’s not an invasive procedure, and becoming a bone marrow donor is quite simple.
BeTheMatch.org is the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. You can join the registry online or in person by visiting a local registry drive near you. Even if you don’t match my dad, you can help others defeat this terrible disease. You can help CURE someone, CURE a cancer. How can you say no to that?
If becoming a donor isn’t something you can or want to do, then I ask that you use your voice. Share this message. Spread the word.
My dad’s diagnosis turned my family’s life upside down. I had yet to be so personally impacted by cancer. It’s frightening and unreal and I just can’t believe it happened. But it did, and I’m going to do my best to help my dad and others. I hope you consider helping too. J

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” (Psalm 56:8, NLT)
Do you know how important you are to God? He cares so much about every detail of your life. He cares about your thoughts, feelings and emotions. In fact, what you are going through is so important to Him that He records every sorrow and collects the tears you’ve shed.
Why would God record your sorrows and collect your tears? Because everything that affects you matters to Him. He is your Vindicator. He’s keeping an account of every wrong that’s ever been done to you so that He can make up for every single one of them. He wants to restore to you everything that has ever been stolen. He wants to heal every hurt and pain.
Today, know that God cares about the things that concern you. He cares about the things that hurt you. He is close to the brokenhearted, and He wants to bring you peace and comfort. Turn to Him and receive His love. Let Him bring healing to your heart and restoration to your soul.
