Part one: HOMEWORK?! Oh.. Right…

At some point that night, Remus found himself crawling into Sirius’s bed. Why did Remus sleep better than he’d ever had that night? Who knows, maybe because he knew Sirius was safe, maybe because Sirius felt safe with Remus, or maybe because Sirius was just there. Is that weird? That’s weird, right? Doesn’t matter. The point is, he’d never felt more fully rested after waking up before. Although, he could tell that James noticed... which was more than humiliating. How was he supposed to explain that when James inevitably asks at some point later?
“Soo, how come your so... awake today? Something to do with sleeping in Sirius’s bed last night?” James leaned over Remus, grinning with suggestive eyes. Remus’s eyes rolled. “What are you on about? He just had a nightmare; I was making sure he was okay.” He tells simply, not looking away from his homework, though he was panicking to make sure that was a good enough explanation. “Oh sure. Did you see the way Lily looked at me this morning at breakfast?” James asked. Right, can’t not be about him and Lily for more than three minutes. “No, but I didn’t need to see it to know how this is going to go.” James gasped. Dramatic prick. “Please, she clearly adores me!” James exclaims, Remus chuckles and shakes his head. “I’m gonna talk to her!” James stood up, and Remus opened his mouth to tell him that they were supposed to be studying but ultimately decided it would be easier to study without him anyway. So, he stood up, deciding to study in the dorms instead, just because that’s where Sirius usually pretends to study, he’s just daydreaming usually, unless he’s with Pete, then they can just talk and talk about nothing forever. Remus finds it adorable to watch.
“Moony! I thought you were studying in the library with Prongs?” Sirius asked, tilting his head to the side like a dog. “Oh, he’s trying to talk to Lily again... I didn’t try to stop him. Wasn’t worth it.” Remus replied, Sirius nods, agreeing. “Fair. Sleep well last night?” Sirius smirks, Pete’s eyebrows furrow in confusion. A light red, almost pink crept up Remus’s neck, flustered. “Sh- yeah, fine, thanks. You?” Sirius nods, going back to talking with Pete, Remus walked into the dorm, hopping onto his bed, splayed on his back like a star. Contemplating his actions. As usual. Homework was left uncompleted and forgotten about.
