Oh, it’s not all bad is it? I’ve certainly been enjoying my new subjects.
I think quite a few of us are starting to miss Hogwarts, though. Perhaps we could do something to remind us of home?
I - I suppose not but I'm tired of being here. I miss my bed and our classes, not this . . . rubbish. I mean, some of it's interesting but it's not going to help us with our OWLs.
What could we do here that would help? They took our wands and things.Â
I think I’ve been studying for a million years.
I'd rather be studying at Hog- Hawthorne. I'm tired of being here.
What sort of nonsense is this?
We’re going home. Of course we’re going home. This is just a short delay, probably only a week or so. They can’t actually force us to stay here. That’d be bonkers.Â
But why can't we go to our families or something? I mean, they can't have got whatever it is, right? So we should be safe and - there isn't any point to us staying. I don't understand it.
What sort of nonsense is this?
What’s this-? The fuck? What- is this a joke? [He glared at Charley as if she was to blame.] Donovan?
I'm fairly certain it's not a joke. *She scowled at him* It's not my fault, so you can stop staring at me like that. I'm not happy about it either.
What sort of nonsense is this?
I don't like it. Why can't we just go home? It's not like this Mu - like we're learning anything useful here.
Sweet Caroline | Hannah & Open
Unfortunately, not everyone could be as unfazed as Hannah Barnes was by her grandmothers death, and the blonde found herself on the phone several times a day with her younger sister Caroline, aged thirteen, begging Hannah for advice. The beginning of her sister’s teenage years had been tough for her, and added with the death? Hannah owed it to her sister to be there in a way she could — because although she would never regret coming all the way across the ocean for school, there was a touch of guilt that panged at her heartstrings knowing she had this wonderful out that her siblings didn’t.
But she did it for herself. Hannah did what she had to do. There was no shame in that.Â
"No, no, those are girls are lying. You’re still a virgin if you use a tampon. That’s just bullshit, Care. Tampons don’t even feel good going in."Â
The dorm room got stuffy sometimes; Charley found it weird not being surrounded by her usual roommates and she missed the cozy atmosphere of the Hufflepuff dorm. In need of some fresh air, Charley grabbed a book and headed out. She found a quiet spot to sit and read for a little while.
Hearing a voice, Charley looked up with a ready smile although she was soon gaping at the girl. For a moment, she was confused and wondered why the other girl would be talking about such private matters to her but then she noticed the little rectangle that meant she was talking on a phone to someone. With that cleared up, she settled down with her book again, pretty sure it was horribly rude to interrupt someone talking on those little things.
I thought we'd be home by Halloween.
[watching her sit, Emmaline answered] Not bad. You?
I'm doing pretty well. *she grins and shrugs* It's nice to get outside and not worry about school for a little while.
Oh, hi!
Oh, huh. I am. To one of the guys at your school, actually. Adrian Thompson. We’re neighbours. At home, I mean, in the holidays. We’ve known each other forever. Yes! Straight after exams are over with. I’ve always liked travelling, and hotels, and Adrian wanted to see the world, too, and it was all so perfect an idea when I thought of it.
I know Adrian! We're in the same House. He's really great. It must be hard to be separated during the school year like that, but I guess you don't have to worry about it now. How great! That'll be a nice way to relax after your exams and it'll be nice to have some time off before working too. Do you know where you're going?
Oh, hi!
I think it’s pretty standard to have them then. Though it is a slightly different system for Scotland, isn’t it? You have Scottish Highers or something like that? My fiancé and I are going travelling for a while, and then I want to open up my own hotel. I’m still not entirely sure where yet, though.
I suppose it is, of course. Um, yes, it's definitely a different system. I don't think I really know what it's called exactly though. Oh, you're engaged? That's really lovely. Are you getting married soon then? Like, before you go travelling? That would be a really lovely thing to do on your honeymoon, wouldn't it? A hotel would make life very interesting, wouldn't it?Â
Oh, hi!
They are, yes. It’s been quite busy this year, because of it being my last year, and exams and all of that, but I’m coping.
Oh, we have exams our final year too. I'm not looking forward to it - I've got some this year too, and those are bad enough, from what I've heard. What are you doing after you graduate?
Oh, hi!
I’m well, yes. Are you getting on well here at Westwood?
I suppose so? I mean, it's going well as far as I know. Um, are your classes going well too?Â
[Looking up, joint still in hand, she spoke] Hi there.Â
How are you? *sits down beside her*
Oh, hi!
It’s been so long since we’ve had a chance to talk last. How are you?
I can't really complain, I suppose. How are you?
[laying under a tree and softly singing under her breath and smoking a joint]
Hello. *wandering by, she stops and smiles down at Emmaline*
