Lucky Boy
Well, it's my last semester in my college career, which is tremendous. I'll be hitting the job market to start my bright new professional career of paying of my insurmountable accumulated debt. What that also means, on a more positive note, is that I get to start work on my thesis project!
My class is the second ad/graph class ever to get to put on a thesis show, and I'm thrilled about it. If all goes well, this will be the crown jewel of my work to date, and I couldn't be more excited to get down to the nitty gritty of this beast.
I knew off-the-bat that I would want to incorporate hand-lettering and motion graphics into my thesis, I just didn't have a clue for the longest time what topic I would pick for the content. I even came up with a few ways I could deliver the final product before I was grasping at ideas for the topic. I finally thought about diving into the world of superstitions. Superstitious people are everywhere, and there are cultural superstitions all around the globe, which I think is hilarious and amazing. Then, I got to thinking that superstition will end up leading me into the world of the occult, which is cool and all that, but I'm a little more upbeat than that. This led me to L U C K . Luck is green and golden, and dammit I love the thought of it.
Now I've got to do loads of research and get a team together to make this happen! More plans to come, weekly updates, and process process process! Stay tuned.
