Rose had taken to sit cross-legged on the floor while Charlie picked her clothes out.

“The dress looks very good on you, but I’m not sure how much time you’ll have for hair and makeup. Plus, it’s kind of lazy? I guess?”

“Oh I can always do hair and makeup there, though you are right I dress like this everyday so it’s not much different from any other day.” Charlie disappeared into her closet “What about something more traditional?” she asked stepping out in a black body suit and cat ears

“Haha, I’m sure everything will be fine,” Colton smiled and crossed his arms, “If there’s anything I can do to help, I’d be happy to.”

“No no absolutely not, not tonight Colton. Your one and only job for this party is to have fun” Charlie said shaking her head at the man but smiling “You are not allowed to work until after this party is over and everyone’s gone”

“Now that sounds extravagant!” Colton cheered, “will be one hell of a party, no pun intended of course.” He grinned brightly, “Can’t wait till guest arrive.”

Charlie smiled “Neither can I, but I cant wait even more for the food to arrive. I swear if that caterer is late I will have his head” Charlie shook her head “If I’m spending this type of money of these people i at least expect them to be on time”

Rose stood up to follow. “I’m really glad you decided to actually show me instead of telling me.”

“Well of course. It’s much more fun to show off the costumes rather than just describe them.” Charlie said as she opened the door to her bedroom “Take a seat anywhere I’ll be right back” and with that she disappeared in her closet

Charlie returned moments later in a black 1950s styled evening gown and black gloves “Okay first up is old school 50s movie star” she said twirling in hte dress to show it off

“I had to be prepared just in case” Charlie defended herself “oh Jack, a wonderful choice, you’ll look stunning in it. I havent decided yet, I have a few options. The classic cat of course, 1950s movie star, or possible a devil, I heard Rose was being an angel so it would go nicely”

“Would be quite the look, although I’ll have to admit my preference in the classic black cat.” Colton debated, “Though Angels and Demons is quite the theme in this city.”

“Hm true, maybe it’ll be a little too cheesy to go as a devil. The black cat is always a classic and cery simply, which would be a lot different from my normal outfits” charlie said with a slight outfit “who knows maybe I’ll just throw on a ballgown and tiara and become a princess of the bash”

“Not when dealing with the after math, it’s not.” Colton grinned with a sigh, “The joys of being second in command, having to clean up all the messes.” Colton sat against the bar, “Christmas has always been lovely, big groups of families and the dinner and the presents and the lights-“ Colton listed, “Always a grand time of year.”

“Ah but the perks of being second in command is pulling rank card and making the others clean up the messes we cause” Charlie said “One of the reasons I envy your job. AH yes christmas is a beautiful time of the year, but Halloween has one thing Christmas doesn’t and that’s costumes. What are you going as this year?”

Colton laughed as he nodded his head, “oh uh well,” He pointed to his current outfit, a fancy suit and bow tie, “didn’t have any time to pick out a costume this year, I’m afraid.”

“Well now that won’t do” Charlie grabbed Colton’s hand and dragged him over to a closet that was on the far side of the room and flung the door open revealing over a dozen different costumes “Pick which ever one you want” she said with a flourish of her hand

“Yes, the streets of this city will love us after this,” Colton smirked, “hopefully no violence this time around, wouldn’t want any repeats of the previous years… so Halloween, you seem rather invested in having a good set up this year. Any particular appreciation for the holiday or just a hobby of yours?” Colton spoke as he plucked at some of the cotton webs, smiling to himself.

“Oh but Colton the fights are what make the parties so fun” Charlie joked, a smile growing on her lips “ While I like halloween Christmas is more my holiday. I guess you can say I have an apprectaion for parties. The music, the drinks, the games, the dancing the memories you make or the ones your forget. It’s all so amazing”

“Look’s great,” Colton grinned at the hotel, the extravagant decorations lighting the room,  “The guest will love the work you’ve done, looks like quite the party.” 

“I hope so” Charlie said with a sigh “I may have dripped a bit more than I would have liked into my funds for this, but it’ll all be worth it when this placed is filled.” Charlie leaned back against the bar “nothing says halloween like a bunch of drunk off their ass criminals”

Charlie looked around the hotel, a smile on her face, it had come together so perfectly. “It looks so wonderful” She said cheerfully as she looked over the cobwebs and fog machines “this is going to be perfect”

“Well,” Rose sat up straight, “I’m going as an angel if that gives you any idea. But I really can’t tell you what to do.”

“You can’t but you can give me your opinion” She motioned for Rose to follow her “I have a few costumes I just need help deciding which looks best on me”

Rose looked up from the book she was reading and pushed herself up from the lounged position she was in. “Of course, what’s up?”

“The party’s in a few hours. Everything’s ready at the hotel but I need some help picking out a costume. I was hoping you could help me decide”

Charlie walked into Skyline penthouse, dropping her purse on the nearest table. “Hey Rose, you got a minute?” She asked the girl as she started to kick off her heels tired from the day she just had.
