That Girl || Dyl & Lot
Dylan followed her back into the hotel bedroom and made his way to his own suitcase. He pulled on a clean pair of boxers and turned back to his girlfriend with a small smile. Charlotte wearing his clothes always made him happy. The way it hung over her small frame showing their size difference and yet still revealing most of her legs. He chuckled as she skipped over to him and immediately wrapped his arms around her waist, slipping them under to rest on her warm skin. Dylan knew this was one of the best weekends of his life already. He couldn’t remember a time of being happier despite always feeling this way with the blonde. Her smile made his own widen. He felt his cheeks twitch slightly as they were starting to hurt from smiling so much. His eyes stayed on hers as she spoke, staring at her with such love he never knew he could feel for someone until he met her. He nudged his nose against hers and rubbed her back, “I’m so in love with you, you know that. And you don’t have to tell me these things even if I like hearing it…” He gave her a small smirk before chuckling and moving one of his hands up to brush a piece of her hair behind her ear, “You show me enough that you love me just as much as I love you.” His hand cupped to her cheek as he pressed a deep kiss to her lips. Dylan’s kiss wasn’t hurried, it was filled with admiration and care for the girl in his arms. It wasn’t long before he pulled back and let go of her, grabbing her hand to pull her towards the bed. Dylan plopped down on his side and opened his arms to her, giving her a grin before letting out a soft yawn. It had been a long day and he knew the trip wasn’t even close to over considering they had so much more to see tomorrow. All he wanted was the hold the girl of his dreams in his arm close and fall asleep.
A sigh of content came from Charlotte as she returned the kiss that her boyfriend placed on her lips. Her cheek leaned slightly into the warm touch of his palm, and her lips couldn't help but curve into a smile against Dylan's. When they pulled apart, she was still smiling as he took hold of her hand and tugged her into the bed with him. She laid down on her side next to him while moving into his open arms, grinning wider as they wound themselves around her frame. She giggled softly when she heard his yawn, affirming that he was probably as tuckered out as she was. And they definitely needed their energy for the rest of their time in Florida. "You're cute when you're sleepy," the blonde spoke with a bit of tiredness in her voice while pulling back some of the blankets that were remade by housekeeping at some point while they were out. With a shy smile she moved one of the blankets over Dylan and another one over herself. "If I steal it during the night, feel free to take it back," she told him before pressing herself flush against him as she stayed in his arms. Her eyelids shut as the side of her head rested on the pillow, her forehead pressed against his warm chest. "I'm happy that we're here, and I'm happy that I'm here with you," she smiled to herself and her arm tightened slightly around her boyfriend's body. Charlotte hummed lightly while her hand moved up and down his back slowly, her fingertips tracing over the skin and muscles that she'd become so familiar with over the past 365 days. It was strange how quickly he came to mean so much to her. Their flirty banter was something she had always enjoyed, looked forward to really, but last year if someone asked her where she thought it would lead to, she wouldn't have said anything like this. She wasn't expecting him to become her best friend in the whole world, or for her to fall so hard for him. She wasn't expecting that cheeky, dimpled, high school senior to turn out to be the love of her life. But he did, and she wouldn't trade that for anything. The excitement of the day was dying down as exhaustion started to take over instead, but she mustered enough of her energy to speak once more. "Happy anniversary, Dyl.. I love you." She smiled a little as she heard his reply, and their arms tightened around each other, holding one another close before they fell asleep. And Charlotte was certain that despite them having been together for a year, it was only their beginning.
