The 1975 makes connections between their new songs and we had no idea.
The 1975 has been releasing new music since May of 2018, with their latest single “Sincerity is Scary” being released just hours ago, it is clear that their upcoming album “A Brief Inquiry to Online Relationships” will have a central theme of being real and true to yourself while battling modern time situations like technology and politics. All of the previously released songs like “Give Yourself a Try”, “Love It If We Made It” “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOTIME” and “Sincerity is Scary” are all puzzle pieces that make up what The 1975 is trying to achieve on their new project.
The first release of four was “Give Yourself A Try’ which was released in late May of 2018. The song’s lyrics give the theme away, but it is basically discussing how to find yourself and grow confidence to be yourself. As Matty repetitively says “Give Yourself A Try” and other things like “and what would you say to your younger self?” throughout the song, the band seems to be pushing for individuality and confidence from their audience. The drums and guitar are prominent throughout the entire song and showcase that the song is suppose to be empowering to find yourself before it is too late. This song relates to the central theme of being real and true to yourself while battling modern time situations by starting the journey of finding oneself
The next song released was “Love It If We Made It” in July of 2018, this song started a huge shock wave of political stance about the band, especially online. The song represents that once you find yourself you begin to express yourself and this song expresses the 1975 in many ways, but mainly politically. Matty brings up things like Donald Trump, the heroin epidemic, Kanye West and Lil Peep. All of these topics and people have influenced society and created controversial topics around the globe before The 1975 brought them up. For The 1975, one of the biggest British pop bands to bring those things up in their song shows confidence and empowerment which occurs after finding yourself.
The next song that was released was “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME” in August of 2018. This song is a very relatable song to most people who are active online or are in a relationship. But the relationship to this song and the general theme is that social media and other SOME people get in the way of self discovery and self realization. The song itself is another upbeat song, but the lyrics have a deeper meaning that refers to struggle of a relationship with social media getting in the way. This is just another step in being real and finding yourself; avoiding obstacles and negative things and people.
The latest song released is “Sincerity is Scary” which was released in September of 2018. This song is almost like a confession and realization of one’s actions that were not realized before it also serves as a call out to be people who do the things sung by Matty. “Culture is to blame” is one of the first lyrics in the song, this is a significant line because many people tend to blame culture or society for things they can do themselves. This relates to the theme because it shows that once someone is real with themselves, they can become self absorbed which can create issues. This song also represents how technology has taken over the individual based off of “TOOTIMESTOOTIMESTOOTIMES” which showed the exposure of technology and a relationship on someone.
There are many things that can go into the main theme of this album based off of the four songs released, but personally I think the theme is about being real with yourself and finding yourself especially in times like today were we have things like technology getting in the way of many things. All of the released songs are puzzle pieces that fit together to give us one central idea and train of thought and it will be complete on November 30th 2018.

A Breakdown of The 1975′s “Love It If We Made It.”
This new song released by the 1975 is moving, poetic and emotional. Every lyric seems to have a meaning to it. The song overall expresses how society is run around the world, but they shift their focus on North America. In The United States of America many things like police brutality, sexual harassment/assault & president Donald Trump have been topics of debate. With debate comes hate, when hate arrives many people focus on hurting each other. The 1975 took the energy that was being expressed around the world and made it into a song that serves as s public service announcement. The song focuses on many things that were listed above but this is a breakdown of the most important lyrics.
1. “Fucking in a car, shooting heroin, Saying controversial things just for the hell of it, Selling melanin and then suffocate the black men, Oh! Fuck your feelings! Truth is only hear say! We’re just left to decay! Modernity has failed us.”
The song starts with these lyrics, they serve almost as an introduction into the issue they are confronting. In this case the issue is about political and social influence on society and how issues are created from them. “Fucking in a car, shooting herion” this covers the herion epidemic occurring in The United States of America, more than 115 Americans die a day due to an opioid overdose. “Saying controversial things, just for the hell of it” these lyrics are also about The United States of America. America has been known to say whatever they want without thinking of what they are saying, a great place to find Americans being controversial is Twitter. Many people take to Twitter to express their opinion whether it is liked or not. “Selling melanin and then suffocate the black man." Melanin is a part of the body that is responsible for skin tone, this organic semiconductor is being sold across the world and is worth over $400 a gram. Not only does this sound wrong, but the way people are getting these supplements is even more disturbing. Over 64,000 African American Women have been reported missing, this number has been ignored. 64,000!!! The reason these numbers are ignored is because these women are being used for organic harvesting. The biggest organ in the human body is the skin and for some reason everyone wants it. Reportedly in the 19th century, African American women were considered the best test subjects, and sadly that has resurfaced. The band then says "suffocate the black man” which is another example of how African Americans are still being mistreated. “Oh! Fuck your feelings! Truth is only hear say!” This line represents how some people’s’ opinions are ignored because of emotion, or the fact that people believe in different things. If someone does not believe in mental illness, they will not understand or accept it. “We’re just left to decay! Modernity has failed us.” This line can represent almost anyone, but I think it represents millennials. Many people see millennials as lazy and do not pay attention to them but really the millennials are the future and those people looking down on them, set them up for failer.
2. “And I’d love it if we made it.”
This line is very unique and powerful. The band uses this line to spread a little hope into the world, hoping we make it out of this horrible social and political turn.
3. “The poetry is in the streets.”
This line has linked up with the 1975 for quite some time. It made it’s first appearance in the “Chocolate” music video, then continued to appear in other music videos like, “Change of Heart” “Robbers” and “The City”. But the most recognized way that the band has presented this phrase is in French, “la poésie est dans la rue” which translates to “poetry is in the streets” and “la poésie est dans la rue en couleur pleine de vie” which translates to “poetry is in the streets in full living colours.“
4."Jesus save us!”
This line is a common line used before, it refers to how many people turn to religion in times of trama and crisis. While this is mainly opinionated, in times of need it is okay to look to a higher powerful for help. But to see changes you need to do it yourself, you cannot rely on someone else to fix your problems and this is what the band can be getting at.
5. “I moved on her like a bitch!”
“Thank you Kanye, very cool!”
These are quotes from The United States of America’s president Donald Trump. The first quote was reported from a 2005 recording in which he is filmed talking to the television personality Billy Bush of “Access Hollywood” on the set of “Days of Our Lives.” When this recording resurfaced during the presidential debate in 2016, some where traumatized and scared to know he had said that, but many laughed and ignored the main issue. Now he is seen as a sexist man. The second quote “Thank you Kanye, very cool!” was a tweet made by Trump after Kanye posted on twitter that he is in support of Trump and even has his own magna hat. Many people were saddened to hear someone who’s individuality is undeniable was allying with an evil sexist and racist man.
There are many other lyrics that stand out in their own way. But these lyrics are the most symbolic and moving. With this new powerful and moving song we can hopefully create a better future and make it out of this difficult time.

GIVE IT A READ!!! IT WOULD MEAN SO MUCH!!!
ust posted an article on my back to school playlist check it out for some inso and to see what i’m listening to right now!
Check out some awesome photos i took at the final Van’s Warped Tour run!
Check out some cool photos from San Francisco!!
I just got back from a week long vacation in San Francisco. While I was counting down the days and packing, I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I had to do while I was in San Fran, of course there are the basic things like seeing The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf, The Museum of Modern Art and The Painted Ladies. After googling articles of places to go to, I only found a few things sadly. So I used my week to find cool places to go to when in the famous city. Here it is!
Hawk Hill
Hawk Hill is a hill specifically for seeing a stunning view of The Golden Gate Bridge from the edge of a mountain. The parking is pretty limited but there are different parking sections to park at on the mountain. After taking some cool photos you can then travel through a hiking trail to get even closer to the bridge.
The Underground
The Underground is a DeadHead shop. Many famous bands are displayed in the store including stickers shirts and flags. Some of these bands include Pink Floyd, The Dead Kennedys, Guns N Roses but the store is famous for having many things from the band The Grateful Dead, which was a band from San Francisco. The Underground is a store that has been open for many years, even in the time of The Grateful Dead. The owner of the store even knew Jerry Garcia, the lead singer. If you have a bit of deadhead in you, this store is a must see!
Bizza
Bizza is an amazing pizza place in San Francisco that has a comfy feeling to it while catering to your needs. Their restaurant does not only have pizza but they have salads as well. Their pizza can even come gluten free, and they even have a vegan option. The pizza comes with gluten free crust, veggies and vegan cheese. It is to die for!
House of Nanking
House of Nanking is located in China Town in San Francisco and their restaurant makes you feel like you're in the heart of Chinese culture. The restaurant is set up traditionally and their food is homemade and fresh. The homemade egg noddles with chicken is a must have.
Even just wandering around San Francisco you can find many things that fit your needs, the city is an amazing place to go to and is totally worth the time, you will make many memories.

Joyce Manor: New Song, New Album and New Tour!
Album Announcement
Joyce Manor officially announced that they are releasing a new album entitled “Million Dollars to Kill Me” which will be out on September 21st 2018.
New Song
On top of the album announcement the band also released a song entitled “Million Dollars to Kill Me”. This song was played on their recent tour without being officially released. The song sounds familiar to their previous releases, but more specifically the new song sounds like something off of their 2016 album “Cody”. This songs seems to not show any progressions, the band still has a rough guitar riff which is shadowed by deep, clean vocals along with intense drums. This can be good or bad though, if the band likes their sound there is no need to change but if the band is looking to change things up and bring in a new audience, they should mix things up. The lyrics on the other hand are darker than the actual song. While the song seems upbeat and full of charm, the lyrics reveal how sad it is. It describes how it hurts to be loved and to accept love. It also talks about how even when you’re loved, you can become scared to be alone or become nothing without your significant other.

Jumpsuit by Twenty One Pilots
A few days ago Twenty One Pilots dropped a video that showed a new era was coming, two days later the bad released two new songs, a music video and world tour dates. But this is only the beginning, new music off of their album 'Trench" will be released in early October. But out of everything, the music video to "Jumpsuit" plays an important role in the new era beginning. We know from previous releases on a website that something new is happening and the song "Nico and The Niners" gives a little information on the new era but the "Jumpsuit" music video gives more. The music video starts with Tyler on top of a burning car that looks oddly similar to the burning car from the "Heavy Dirt Soul" music video. Tyler is even wearing the same thing from the previous music video in the new one and has the same haircut. This could mean the band knew about this song more than a year ago and possibly created some of the music video right after "Heavy Dirty Soul." Tyler then looks at the camera and says "I've been hear the whole time you were asleep. Time to wake up." This references the Clancy letters left on a website run by the band over their hiatus. The music video then goes into Tyler appearing in a running stream in the mountains, he gets up and begins to walk. He is wearing a green zip up jacket that has yellow tape on it that can symbolize a "Jumpsuit". It is known that Blurryface cannot touch yellow, so the yellow tape is a defense mechanism used for Tyler to protect himself against harm. After Tyler gets up the scene is cut to a figure in a red cloak riding a white horse which was actually seen in the video of the eye released almost a week ago. The figure can be anyone, but the best bet is on Blurryface, the figure even has the red eye paint. Red is only seen in the video with signs of evil, the cloaked figure and the fire in the car from "Heavy Dirty Soul." Other then that, yellow is the main color used in the video which is a happy color. When the figure reaches Tyler, they get off the horse and Tyler stands still receptively saying "Jumpsuit, jumpsuit cover me." But the figure touches Tyler's face and his neck turns black. Which is something that occurred in the Blurryface era. Once Tyler's neck is black he seems to be in a trance as he follows Blurryface. But people watching the scene from above begin to throw yellow flowers, yellow symbolizes joy & happiness. A few of these people on the cliff include Josh, his best friend and band mate, and Jenna, his wife. The other people can represent us, the fans. They are all seen throwing yellow flowers which helps Tyler get out of the trance, once Tyler gets out of the trance his black necks begins to fade. Once this happens Tyler begins to run away from Blurryface once he realizes what is happening. But as Tyler is running he trips and falls, the next scene shows him back where he started, laying in a stream but this time he has a flower on his chest as if he is dead. Then Josh is seen on the cliff looking over Tyler and the figure. The picture of people standing on a cliff was released with the Clancy letters on the website and it finally lines up as the same picture taken in this scene of the music video. In this scene where Josh is hovering over Tyler, he seems to take the role of a guardian angel. This is not the first time this has occurred as well. In previous music videos Josh is scene in a ghostly way. He is hovering on his drum set in "Heathens" and willingly risks getting hit by the car holding Tyler in it in "Heavy Dirty Soul."At the end of the video, Tyler in Heavy Dirt Soul uniform takes his jacket with yellow tape on it out of the car and begins to walk into the night. The main point of this music video is to characterize everyone and show who they are. The cloaked man is Blurryface, Tyler is trying to defeat Blurryface and Josh is protecting Tyler along with the others like Jenna and the clique. The music video also shows another encounter with Bluryface and what he is capable of. Or maybe this music video has a deeper meaning and this is what Tyler goes through everyday. Blurryface was a character made up by Tyler to symbolize his mental state, maybe this is another way of bringing it to life and fighting it in a way nobody has before.
Composure by Real Friends.
After Real Friends promoted their new album "Composure" for the past few weeks the album finally was released today. We all know the past few hits released like "Unconditional Love" and "From the Outside" brought out an emotional side of the band we hoped would be in the rest of the album and thankfully it was, the band successfully carried out the emotional side throughout the rest of the album. The song "Me First" shows many signs of aggression and frustration towards someone who will not see the potential of the person expressing their emotions. Dan sounds as if he's grinding his teeth together when he sings certain parts which is a new thing Dan normally doesn't do but sounds good. In other parts he manages to hold a clear note that is much more familiar. The album has a certain theme that is prominent in almost every song. The theme is toxicity. Whether the toxicity is coming from themselves like in "From the Outside" or from other people like loved ones which is expressed in numerous songs but is mostly noticeable in "Me First". The album shows how the band is shifting in a new emotional direction as well. Real Friends has been known as the "Sad Boys" band, but the release of "Composure" shows more of an aggressive side of the band. While this might sound threatening, aggression is a step taken to start grieving and accepting negative and traumatizing experiences. Whether it is the entire band or just one member, the band embodied a problem and after years of expressing sad actions and thoughts, they have finally moved on to becoming mad and will soon fall into acceptance. "Composure"Â and "Take a Hint" are songs that will be a fan favorite. The riffs are exciting and the drum beats are powerful, Dan also experiements with vocals by focusing on sound that comes from the throat more than the diaphragm, or better known as screaming. They are true pop punk songs that will get stuck in your head. The song "Ripcord" is a bit more on the slower side verses the rest of the album, the guitar riff is repetitive but not tiring which is impressive. The band focuses on the small instrumental details in this song, they give the guitar a main lead that is noticeable throughout the entire song. Real Friends put out a great recorded that stays true to their roots, but tries new things like changing vocals and meanings to their songs. "Composure" is a true pop punk album everyone should give a try.
Twenty One Pilots Release Two New Songs and Announces World Tour.
Twenty One Pilots recently teased the world with a video of an eye that showed things  like a horse galloping and a fire. The eye itself shows a yellow ring around it along with Twenty One Pilots’ new logo. The band advertised their new logo and color scheme around the world with billboards in places like London and The United States. But this morning the band released two new songs on their youtube channel, one being “Jumpsuit” and the other being “Nico and The Niners”. “Jumpsuit” came with a music video while “Nico and The Niners” came with just audio. Both songs are now available on Spotify and Apple Music. Both of these surprising songs were much-needed to end their one year hiatus and to create a new era full of even more twisted and mysterious problems leading up to one solution; get rid of Blurryface. “Jumpsuit” is true to Twenty One Pilots emotional and aggressive roots. The band does a great job of keeping up the pop radio sound but of course adds some rock sounds to make the hit unique. Towards the end of the song Tyler begins to scream “jumpsuit, jumpsuit cover me.” Screaming is something Tyler did often on their older records like “Vessel”. For the band to continue with things they did before fame is important because it shows they did not let fame get to them. This song also relates to the album “Blurryface” because Tyler discusses how he wants to be protected and covered by saying “jumpsuit, jumpsuit cover me.” The idea of protection from Blurryface was a major theme on their album “Blurryface” and it is still around in their new music. The jumpsuit relates to how Blurryface the character cannot touch yellow, therefore the jumpsuit is yellow and is protective against Blurryface. The entire song itself talks about the changing environments for Tyler and Josh as they continue to take over the music scene with their hit album “Blurryface” and the expectations of their new music. This is shown in lyrics like, “I can’t believe how much I hate, pressures of a new place roll my way.” and “Spirits in my room, friend or foe?” Without listening to the lyrics this song is just another alternative hit to get people to jump. But once you really listen to the song, the lyrics can pull you in many different directions. Whether the focus is mental health, Blurryface or anything else. Tyler and Josh do a great job of showing emotions through music whether that is through a soft drum beat and welcoming voice, or an aggressive scream and intense guitar riff. “Nico and The Niners” is very different compared to “Jumpsuit” but is not different when it comes to Twenty One Pilots sound. The song takes major influence from songs off of  “Blurryface” specifically underrated tracks like “The Judge” and “Not Today” which are both very chill and relaxed songs. “Nico and The Niners” also has a fan favorite instrument in it, the ukulele. The song also features Tyler’s version of rapping which everyone enjoys because it is not your everyday rap, it is much more subtle. This song lines up with past theories and evidence given to fans by the band. The predicted new era includes things like bishops keeping people captive in a city named Dema. The name “Niners” is another word to describe bishops and Nico could be a possible bishop they are trying to target or get rid of. Hence the lyrics in the song “Fire Nico and The Niners.” The things given to the fans months ago show themselves in this song. When Tyler sings “east is up” it is referring to a map that was posted months ago on a website. Tyler also brings up his jumpsuit again “My jumpsuit is on steady… my jumpsuit takes me so high.” When he references this he might be suggesting that the jumpsuit is a key element to take down the bishops because they cannot touch yellow just like Blurryface. This song is complicated any way you look at it, but this is a key song to solving the problem of the city of Dema and should not be ignored. These songs still leaves many questions only time will answer when the band releases their album “Trench” sometime soon, but for now I think we are all awake and are ready for more.
Twenty One Pilots New Era.
Most Twenty One Pilots fans and the entire world were surprised to wake up to a tweet sent out this morning by the band that shows a sign of them resurfacing. The band took to twitter to post for the first time since July 6th of 2018, a video of what seems to be an eye of an animal, but the eye has different visuals appearing in it. One of them is a white horse galloping while another is a fire but others are hard to make out due to the eye being only half open.  But the video barely displays under the eyelid, the new Twenty one Pilots logo along with a new possible color scheme, the background is black and grey while the rim of the eye is yellow. On top of the video, fans have been posting on twitter about the new logo appearing in different cities around the world only hours after the tweet was sent out. Fans still signed up with Twenty One Pilots' newsletter received a gif version of the video on July 6th 2018, exactly a year after the hiatus started. The gif came with the caption of "ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING?" Judging by the way the band left things over a year ago with a simple photo of their concert slowing "closing" while different texts appeared backwards, this new message supports the concept of a new era occurring. The texts that appear on the photos even describe the end of something. All of the texts on the photos discuss how night is coming & silence will overcome, which is something that did happen. But then came the video. One "eye" closed to reveal a new one. The new information can mean several different things. New music, new tour dates or even a reinvented Twenty One Pilots, but one thing we know for sure is that Twenty One Pilots is entering a new era, leaving Blurryface in the past and something completely new in the future. This post was completely unexpected and so is the future of Twenty One Pilots but we do know that something is coming soon, are you still sleeping?
