Tutorial - World Deco Object Hiders
Since my Henford Hiders mod seems to be pretty popular, and the process for hiding world objects that way is pretty simple, here’s a quick tutorial on how to do it in Sims 4 Studio. I figured out how to do this from looking at Plasticbox’s Empty Props mod, so all credit there.
This process should work for the vast majority of debug objects, so long as they are deco and not interactive. And note that it will not replace any of the VFX from the object (like glow of lights or sounds). But if you want to completely zap a non-interactable debug/world deco object from appearing anywhere in your game, this is the easiest way to do it. If you’re familiar with the process for creating default replacements or overrides of an object, this is basically that.
Things you will need:
Sims 4 Studio (made an install video here last year)
The Sims 4, I guess
Step 1: In Sims 4 Studio, start the Object Override process
Make sure “Override” is selected, and then click the Object button. This is important; this selection retains the Type Group and Instance (TGI) information for the game object and allows you to default replace or override it with your file.
Step 2: Select a world item to hide
Use the filters to narrow down to the item you want. Make sure “Show Debug Items” is checked. Some world items have non-debug duplicates that you may not want to replace; this way those won’t show up. Once you’ve clicked on your selected object, click next.
Step 3: Name and save the package
Step 4: Delete everything but the Object Definition file
Switch to the Warehouse tab. Locate the Object Definition file (sorting by Type can help here). Delete everything except that file. This is the only file we need to change.
Step 5: Edit the Footprint
Find the footprint inside of the “Data” tab, and click “Edit Items”.
From here, change the TGI to 0 for all fields, and click save. This will close the window.
Step 6: Do the same thing for Model
Remember to save when you are done editing the model!
Step 7: Save the file and test
Click the save button in the bottom right hand corner.
Back up your Electronic Arts folder if you haven’t done that in a while.
Create a fresh save (preferably in an un-modded game), enable mods in the game settings, and test your mod file. Depending on where you saved the file initially, you may have to move it to your Mods folder.
The item you replaced should no longer be present in the world.
Note: a very similar process can be used for interactive world objects, but you have to delete the tuning information, as well. I think there is also usually slot and rig data associated with interactive objects, too, that would also need to be set to 0. I don’t want to make an additional tutorial for that, but that should be enough to get you on the right track should you want to try that.

Hobbies are Hobbies for a reason
I'm not saying cc creators can't/shouldn't make money from their services/content. They put in hours of effort for us to enjoy and I never want to undersell just how much I appreciate that effort and how much it has improved my game and life.
BUT
Hobbies are hobbies, Passion is passion. When we monetize everything, we lose the social contracts that once ruled fan communities. "Be thankful for the gift and move on your way." If paid for, CC is no longer a nice addition to the game, it is a product. Now people have the right to complain, to report, to accuse and to demand a certain quality. Creators are no longer internet acquaintances who are creating because they love it, because they have a idea they can't escape or as a favor, they are a part of a million dollar business. No amount of good will that these creators have generated over years of fandom activity can obscure the monster they are covering for. EA see's how little people buy kits, how we say "why would I buy this if I could download CC for free?" and they are using our community members against us. They saw all of us subscribe to patreons and throw a few bucks at a Kofi and were jealous, they want our time, passion and money. They promise exposure and increased downloads, but slip in the 70% fee and total reputation ruin. And remember, they could have made this marketplace free, that's was what Curseforge was meant to be wasn't it? A place for console players to find CC and for everyone to feel confident in the safety of the downloads.
But now I'm wondering if It was all a ploy.
Convincing us that downloading CC was dangerous, when I've only seen 3 instances of malicious content in the 10 years I've been downloading and participating. Manipulating players to distrust peer to peer creation and downloading, telling them that only EA can make sure our CC is safe. Now even curseforge is too "risky" the only place you can trust is EA's own marketplace.
Stay the fuck away from the EA marketplace, stay away from the Saudi's, and let this shitty endeavor die with all the creators who signed on to it.
Build the Crib! – Baby On The Way Part 2 (Amazing Sims 4 Mod)
As part of my Baby on The Way series, I created a brand new mod called Build the Crib. This one has been in my head since I started to work on the series, and I really wanted it to feel meaningful for storytelling. Your Sims can now actually build the crib for their baby addionally to my first proposal to use poses to tell your stories.
This was honestly one of the most challenging things I’ve worked on a while. Getting the tunings, object actions, and states to behave exactly how I imagined took a lot of trial and error. There were moments when I thought, “Why did I decide to do this?” 😅 But I didn’t want to release it unless it worked the way I wanted.
The good thing is… the result is very nice. Seeing a parent Sim putting the crib together before the baby arrives adds so much emotion to the whole experience. It feels more real!!
ABOUT THIS SIMS 4 MOD:
This mod requires The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack to work.
It is not an override but I made changes so the original Parenthood object is not affected.
So technically, children can build the crib too if you decide to let them. That wasn’t really my original intention, but honestly, it’s a small compromise to keep everything working properly, and I’m okay with that.
The option to build the crib as a couple is available. However, in some situations you may notice a bit of clipping with the crib. It doesn’t break the interaction, but visually it can happen depending on positioning.
The fully functional crib is included as a separate item as well, so you can place it directly if you prefer without going through the building interaction.
------
I also want to give a huge thank you to my friend PandaSama. I asked so many questions about tunings and object actions. I really appreciate the support.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed finally seeing it work in-game. Let me know what you think, and please share screenshots if you use it in your saves. I can’t wait to see your nursery stories!

Faux Walk-In Wardrobes
I've had this idea for years but lacked the skills to actually make it happen. (Who am I kidding? I still lack the skills—I had no idea what I was doing in Blender). Basically I wanted a walk-in wardrobe, but I was working with very not-walk-in-sized houses. These Faux Walk-In Wardrobes are designed to give you the look of a spacious closet without sacrificing precious square footage.
From the outside, they resemble a full walk-in wardrobe or closet nook—but unlike the Get Together closets, these objects are wall-friendly and space-savvy. They can sit flush against interior or exterior walls without poking through, making them perfect for apartments, tiny homes, and compact builds.
🧺 Features
Functions fully as a dresser
Tiny footprint—ideal for small rooms
Can be placed directly against any wall
No awkward clipping or space requirements
Base Game compatible
Great for bedrooms, hallways, and studio layouts
🪄 Styles
Faux Fashionista: a mesh edit of the Fashionista closet from Get Together
Nostalgic Narnia: a mesh edit of this closet by @awingedllama (mesh not required thanks to their generous tou)
Deceptive Dresser: a mesh edit of @peacemaker-ic's wardrobe from a game update
Perfect Paramnesia: a mesh edit of the Perfectly Sized closet from Get Together
Illusionary Interior: a mesh edit of the Squarely closet from Get Together
Doctored Dresser: a mesh edit of a set of base game doors
I posted some pics here, and a few people wanted them, so here they are. No paywall, as I'm a Blender newbie. I'm not charging for a few simple edits!
They can all be found in the bedroom category, with the other dressers.

IT'S FINALLY HERE
I know I've been rambling about this on my YouTube channel for like, a year now (I'm so sorry) But I finally tweaked things enough to a place where I am ok with sharing it now.
Have you ever looked at the blobby trees of TS4 and sighed over there being no cool leafy shadows to cast from the sunlight onto the ground? Well that annoyed me too, so I took it upon myself to make trees that have detailed-looking leafy shadows instead of a big blobby shadow with no definition!
SOLARLEAF is a nature set that has over 34 tree variations and some extra hedges and a debug fence too! There are way too many things for me to have a pic for each, so you'll have to download to see all the goodies! Also, because these are made from EA meshes, all of the trees are animated like the trees in-game :)
________________________________________________________________
Important info: It is in a ZIP file, and after you extract it, there will be folders with the name of each expansion pack that uses the mesh that is needed for the tree/bush etc. to show up. Only the ones you own will show up in game so you can pick and choose!
________________________________________________________________
It's not perfect, and I'm aware of that, but I hope you all enjoy it anyways!
CREDITS: The Nature in this set is a mashup of textures by K-hippie, Conceptdesign97 that I edited or recolored, and some silent hill texture conversions by IDBD
None of this would be possible without using these textures! This was initially going to be all overrides but BOY is it a LOT of work to do that, so hats off to K-hippie for doing all of that hard work in their K-series (please check them out, they're extremely talented and hardworking for the sims community!)

The Sims 4 Base Game Terrain Replacement
For now, I've only done the base game worlds. I will slowly do the other worlds. Thank you @boringbones for the textures and @k-hippie, because I used their terrain replacements to find the instances, making the work a lot easier. Also, shoutout to @revinics for helping me find some missing textures.
I don't know if you can really tell the difference between the original terrain and the replacements in these photos, but trust they're there. I also replaced a few of the build buy terrain paints.
I hope you guys like this override as much as I do. Let me know if you have any questions!
