So unfortunately my muse for Aqua has disappeared with my absence, which makes it a lot harder for me to write her. It’s really sad because I had really been looking forward to do more things with such an amazing muse, but I expected too much of myself and found myself distancing from her instead of growing closer. I suppose a part of this is that there are already so many great Aqua roleplayers on this website? I had thought that I would be willing to accept the pressure of knowing that my interpretation would be kind of drowned out, but...well, as you can see, I caved in.

I’m not going to be deleting Aqua, out of hopes that maybe someday the muse for her will return and I can get back to writing what I had wanted to try, but until then, I can’t really be on here. If you like how I write and want to follow me elsewhere, you can find me on my primary muse Yonah, who is from an obscure game called NieR. I should also be returning to the Disney/Kingdom Hearts community with a different muse, so you might see me around sometime soon!

THE NEXT WORLD she would visit on her search led her to the scene of a battle, youthful man approximately at her age engaged in warding off creatures that Aqua could only assume to be similar to those she had encountered in the Realm of Darkness. She is quick to offer her silent aid, brandishing her Keyblade in her dominant hand before approaching with a powerful slash at the fanged beast.

THE PIERCING HEAT stabbed directly through her clothes and into her very core — Aqua had never experienced this kind of heat without some kind of incredible exhaustion; finding herself casting little bouts of magic in order to cool herself down. Why her travels had led her to the large expanse of a desert, she was not certain. But no world could go unsearched until she had found who what she was looking for.

In the hazy distance of heated sand Aqua could see the outline of a female’s form, though she pauses in her tracks to assess the situation before approaching. ❝ Excuse me..? ❞

STRAY HAIRS ARE tucked carefully over her ear as her head cants downward to glance over the aged paper held gingerly between her hands. It had been ages since she had last visited Radiant Garden, and things had seemed to change for the worse since her final visit. Creatures of the dark swarmed in unlit corners of the city, though luckily none had managed to find their way into the library. She had hoped to comb for information here, but her search thus far had been unsuccessful. Their city’s history prior to her current visit was nowhere to be found.

❝ Am I looking in the wrong place..? ❞ is her quiet mutter, free hand lifted to rub the edge of her jaw.

Ansem’s Reports weren’t at all a foreign thing, not to Riku, nor to Sora – though the silver would admit that he’d only ever seen them because the other boy had presented them to him; They were – interesting, to say the least, speaking in detail of Heartless, the creation and experimentation—-

Really, the thought always made Riku feel a bit uneasy – though the fact he knew the man behind it was— well, not exactly a comfort, but – certainly helped his thought process into how and why it had been done.

“From what we can gather,”

It was mostly his own conspirations on the matter, having known DiZ, and his information from the King; that, and the Reports themselves,

“He was trying to figure out how exactly a Heart works.”

There was more to it than that, of course – he was trying to see how far it could go, how long it could last under certain conditions— but that was the gist of it; It had caused a lot of incidents, by the sound of it – especially in relation to Radiant Garden.

HER BROWS FURROW over azure eyes as Riku explains to her what Ansem’s goal was with his experiments. Aqua was never fond of the darkness having once come into touch with it during her youth and again for nearly a decade — and she was especially apprehensive with “cultivating darkness” inside a person’s heart. Giving him the means of performing his experiments would mean that people would have to actually offer their hearts up to him for him to play with.

All those failures... all those people... gone because of one man’s curiosity. Nothing good ever came from wandering close to the darkness, getting tempted by its mysterious coils. She restrains her free palm from balling into a fist, though her expression stiffens even more at the next line in his report. The people whose hearts had been lost were warped into dark creatures beyond recognition — the same creatures that she had seen during her time in the Realm of Darkness.

❝ But then his apprentices turned on him? ❞ she adds, quickly switching off the document she was overlooking for another that was spread across the table.
