Vicki: Damon was the one that turned Vicki, which led to her eventual death.

Jenna: Damon killed the vampire Klaus was planning on using in the sacrifice, which led to him using Jenna as an alternative.

Alaric: Damon killed Alaric multiple times while he was wearing the Gilbert ring, which was the reason he went crazy.

Bonnie’s grandmother: Damon was the one who wanted the tomb open in the first place, despite being warned about it.

"She taught me how to kill": Katherine never saw Damon after he first became a vampire. Sage was the one that taught him how to kill.

#this whole episode was an apology for damon being a dick#it made excuses for him#it set a bad example for women everywhere#it says that you should fall for the abusive asshole who rapes your friends#there’s a darkness in him that controls his actions#having bad shit happen to you does not make you less responsbile for being a shitty person#it does not take away your agency#everything horrible that was ever done#is damon’s fault#i’m seriously considering quitting this show#because no one acknowledges this on it#not the writers#and hence not the characters#and we are in the endless cycle of promoting bad behaviour#and romanticising abuse#and that isn’t okay#it will never be okay#it is disgusting (via concertinacheatingheartbeat)

Burgess and Atwater still have nothing to do. I think Atwater is gorgeous though. Like a big adorable teddy bear. Please give him a storyline.

Did they recast Voight's son? I think that they did. I don't think prison has helped his manners. I knew he was going to plant one on Erin from the moment she picked him up.

I can definetly see him being resentful over Voight's bond with Erin.

Given that both shows are promoting the hell out of #Linderside, I'm assuming I should see some great connection between her and Kelly? I don't. They had one scene and while it was nice, it fell pretty flat for me.

  I laughed at Halstead lecturing Ruzek on only being new to the job like he's ever the veteran, he's been there 4 - 6 weeks. I am curious as to what the deal is with that family he visited though. Also, why was he throwing Lindsay weird looks all episode?

Ruzek is definetly not ok with killing someone. I give him and his fiancee two more episodes together at the most. She's not into his new job and I can't blame her if she's worried for him. Between last week and this week, he dives into every situation with little thinking.

Also, he didn't even want to go to his own engagement party.

So Alvin isn't divorced, he's married but lives in his garage. I like that he's somewhat involved in Voight's vigilante act.

I didn't get why Antonio was acting so weird with the prostitute? He was sort of flirting with her to get to go to dinner with him and his wife. The entire scenario was just weird. I have a feeling he and his wife will be done by the end of the season. I actually liked the wife much better this episode. I was glad to see him mention Jules and that he's still grieving her.

For all my complaining, the crossover didn't annoy me that much. Lindsay was in two scenes and the two patrol officers one. It was like Gabby's one scene last week. I didn't feel it took away from the episode.

Clark is awesome. He was on his own for most of the episode but Jeff Hephner never disappoints. I hope they give him a lot more to do before the seasons end. I found his lone scenes struggling with the shopkeeper/looting more appealing then the entire episode Severide got stuck in that tractor with the kid.
