*Blindfold is off, and armor is very much on, as he tries to stare her down for intimidation*

[His tone was serious for once, firm. Seems that Scythe was taking this seriously. The reason for the change in attitude wasn't apparent.]

[Scythe froze. Like, genuinely froze up. Her face fell, and any bravado she might have had vanished.]

"...Katana's dead?"

[She didn't seem to hear Banhammer's question, staring at the table in undeniable despair. He took a shaky breath, trying to compose himself slightly, but it seemed that the news shook him to his core. But why would that be?]

"...phuck... no... he- he can't be dead..."

[Scythe looked up, glaring at Banhammer like she wanted to lunge across the table and attack. Like she wanted to slit his throat, to make him bleed, to make him hurt.]

"You don't know shit. You don't know me, and you don't know anything 'bout Katana. You're just an immature asshole on a power trip because mommy won't let him ever face real consequences. You have no idea what the phuck you're talkin' 'bout. I didn't kill him. For the record, I was visitin' an associate of mine."

[Scythe's voice broke when he spoke, sounding like he was fighting the urge to sob. Something about this was different than any sort of fight they'd ever had.]
