I basically made it to celebrate graduating from high school; although it was experimental in some ways, I’m pretty proud of how it came out~

Some animations I’ve been doing for Chatanmaku 2
Chatanmaku 2 isn’t dead yet~ Art related work is starting up again, and I’m going to be starting on the extra stage eventually
A new song, finally
I actually started this around the time I finished Jolt’s theme, but I took a bit of a break before I got too far into it. I think that actually ended up being a good thing; Jolt and Jolly are both the “protagonists” of chatanmaku, but their themes really shouldn’t be similar at all. It was a nice change of pace to try making a cheerful theme like this~
We made an acoustic cover of His Theme from Undertale :)

This was a submission from http://theteamplayers.tumblr.com/. I really like this, and it seems like they do a lot other cool covers~
This is Jolt’s theme, something that I’ve had in mind for a while. Because Jolt is basically the protagonist, I wanted to make it seem like a more important theme. It took a while to finish, but I’m mostly happy with how it turned out~
I’ll be working on several backlog-ish ideas like this for the rest of the year, although I might not be able to get too much done because of school. I’m also starting to work more on Chatanmaku 3, so look forward to updates on that~

A quick piano piece I made for Halloween, also to help me get back into doing music for a few things I have planned soon. Undertale has really great music~

ooooh this sounds so nice =w= by any, chance have you made a piano sheet for it yet? I’d love to play it
It seemed like several people were looking for sheet music, so I made something quickly: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ld6ogx49qd3i673/Spooptune.pdf?dl=0
It was my first time using Musescore, so I apologize in advance if some parts are a bit confusing. I’m glad you like the song~

And here’s the new friend, the stage 1 boss theme. This is more directly based off of something, a song shammy made a while back (https://soundcloud.com/shammyninja/divine-steps). This may seem pretty powerful for a stage 1 boss, but when you consider that Shammy’s coming down from stage 5 and this is a three-stage game it makes a bit more sense. Muffins are very dangerous.
Here’s the stage 1 theme, one I had a lot of fun making. Being a side project I wanted to keep things relatively small; only three stages, and all the characters are from previous games. The first boss/midboss is Shammy, so there’s a bit of Chatanmaku 2′s stage 5 theme mixed in. Even without that, it’s a pretty energetic theme~
I came here to post a new song I just finished, but apparently I haven’t put anything about Chatanmaku 2.5 here yet?? In any case, it’s something I worked on for the last ludum dare (the next one is tomorrow~) and decided to continue when i had some spare time. There’s a page on the ludum dare website for it, but I’m almost done with an update so I won’t bother posting a link just yet.
As for the song, it’s the title theme. I tried something new with the key, and used a bit of a theme I haven’t made yet. It came out pretty well for something so experimental, I think~
expressions i made for a friends game
Absol is working on the talksprites for chatanmaku 2, so the days of my squarefaces are numbered~
On the note of chatanmaku updates, this is the staff roll theme. It’s similar to the stage 6 theme, but I think it’s a nice way to end the game anyway~
As promised, here is the newest version of Chatanmaku 2~ The main game (everything except the extra stage) is complete in terms of gameplay, although I’ll be doing updates for the visuals in the future. I’ve also made several other changes from the previous version, so that all 6 stages should actually be possible and hopefully be fun. Enjoy, and feel free to tell me if anything goes wrong~

This doesn’t really have anything to do with anything I’m working on but when I played the song on Sunken Scroll 23 and realized what it was I was physically incapable of preventing myself from making this
Last thing for today; it’s actually not something original at all this time. I recently found an album called Heavenly Gathering of Clouds, which is like a touhou game without the game itself. It has several interesting characters and a lot of incredible tracks; I can’t find anything translated about the story itself, but just hearing it makes me want someone to make a game for it. Maybe someday...
You can listen to the whole album in this playlist. This is a piano version I did of the stage 6 theme, originally composed by こむぎ.
