Ears twitched– He wasn’t sure how she’d caught on to him, though it wasn’t hard to see a white suit this late at night– then again, when would it every be hard to see this kind of costume? It was a miracle he hadn’t been seen by her yet.
He still watched– between the chutes of a chimney sticking upright, though he couldn’t help his tail swishing curiously behind him as he looked over it, the costume ears sliding to rest against his head– he’d been prepared to follow her quietly, but she had to go and ruin it! Now he was on the spot– did he come clean, or make her find him?
With her mind drifting to a strange white-lad figure that she wasn’t totally convinced was real, Bridgette couldn’t convince herself to simply abandon this feeling she had. It was still there, she still felt like she was being watched -- and it made her heart beat a little faster, and not from the adrenaline of running around earlier.
❝ I know someone’s there --❞
She called out again, turning to face fully to what was previously at her back, blue eyes scanning for anything that could give away who else was out here. She paused, frowning, her brow furrowing just above her scarlet mask.
❝ I’m not looking for a fight -- it’s safe to come out.❞
Something told her this wasn’t just some civilian, at the very least.
