Note to Self

Stop thinking that by mentally telling myself "I'll remember this later" that I automatically will.

I don't know how many good phrases I have lost due to this. 

Sure, I still write down things on receipts and napkins and envelopes and random shit I find, but I can't even count the number of times I've told myself to remember something and then felt annoyed because I would forget. 

Better out than in.

Things are so much easier to deal with when they're on paper.

Nothing worth having is ever easy...

It's a hard lesson, but it is worthwhile. It is necessary to take pride in making decisions or choosing routes that aren't the easiest. There is an inevitable pain in straying from something you want to go toward something you need because bad decisions have a tendency to be very alluring. But this pain keeps me strong. It keeps me going. I would rather continue to feel that pain than to turn back around. It fuels me. It invigorates my drive. I will learn to love it. I will let it change me.
