reminiscence.
It felt like all of her friends in this world had left her. One after another, they left, never to return. Or they did return, only they didnât remember her face, and couldnât remember their time here. It happened too often. She didnât want any more of her friends to leave her. But how did one stop that? Those so called âscientistsâ who couldnât even hold their own simulated world together had most of the control over that. And she shouldnât begrudge the ones who went back to their homes, their families.Â
But it was lonely. She was lonely. Perhaps that was why she took to the streets so often, walked around places she did and didnât know. Because perhaps sheâd spot them again, the people she painstakingly made connections with. Or, perhaps, sheâd find a new friend lurking in the shadows.
ââŠ. Ah.â It was like the thought had summoned her, the smaller girl across the street. Positioned like a statue, a delicate insect perched on her hand. But Fujino wouldnât wait for that still moment to break. No, she started to move towards her. âDlanor-san!â A few steps and sheâd be near her. Sheâd be able to tell whether it was her friend from a long, long time ago or someone.. Different.Â

Since the glimpse into the young womanâs world, Aichi had been vehemently donating her well wishes for dealing with the world which had become theirâs since. The woman whoâs voice was quiet, and her presence contained, whom he was never sure when was a good time to call, and when it would be disturbing her.
So the day had come with the intent to meeting and taking her out for some time out. Hoping to alleviate whatever sadness might creep within her.
Luckily had that decision been made, when her voice sprang up from behind, and as Aichi turned to capture the difference in her face. Like she had come more alive for the first time since they had been within her home domain.
          More importantly, why.
âDlanor-san?!â
Heart in throat, he remained rooted to the spot while Fujino had taken it upon herself to close the gap. Once she was close enough that he could collide with the girl simultaneously through the run his legs yearned to execute, then would that change.
All which registered within him was that she was standing there - a girl whom he considered a dear friend. Bringing with her, a lump which swelled in his throat and the prickle of cool tears. âY- You came back!â

everything happened so fast-- within the span of a simple blink, if you were to indulge yourself with comparisons. The facet of loneliness became extinguished and ceased to exist moments after the presence of the two individuals was acknowledged. It wasnât a play of words heralded by the wind, the distortion which lingered soon adjusted to reality, and she was soon overwhelmed from the sight of her two closest friends she had made so long ago.Â
the hollowness may still have existed and continue to orchestrate the person she is now, it is momentarily pacified by the high spirits bouncing about. The vacant look in her eyes shifted into the opposite, optics which were filled with joyous and surprise, slowly turning its gaze towards the duo which stood before her. A crook of a smile arched at the corners of her mouth, barely recognizable but easily distinguishable within the plainness on her visage.Â
â<MISS> Fujino and Aichi-san! Of course, I did not intend to be absent for LONG. I ask for forgiveness but that is a far-fetched ideal after leaving the two of you out in the cold without any reassurances of my WELL-BEING. The ambiance resonating from the two of you shows that you are in good HEALTH. In spite of everything, how did you find yourself in my PRESENCE? Did the two of you gather inside SOURCES? Knowing you two... youâd pull all the string you could to find me... knowing the good intentions that muster WITHIN.âÂ
having a normal conversation felt so relieving.Â
