It was one thing to fear the cooking of the princess, but she did deserve a chance at honing a skill that not all were good at. Guy would just have to help her at least. “And to find a good spot to sit without any mishaps. But I’ll leave the easiest of tasks for you then, Princess.”

     Perfect! It looks like Valentine's Day will be a rather eventful day and they were able to plan just a little bit ahead of it, too. Finding a spot should be easy as she had started to know her way around Hive.

      "Next time I will do my best to help out more with the food."

He blinked. “A picnic? If that’s what you want.” Arms folded, lips turning to a gentle smirk.”I assume I’ll be doing all the food prep for this picnic, hm?”

      Ahaha... whoops. Thanks to her upbringing, Natalia knows her cooking isn't the best. It would be a good idea to stay out of the kitchen if they want to make this nice, but... She has to be able to some of the work, too.

     "Don't worry, I can help with the really easy stuff! And buying what we need..."

     Now that is a good question... what could they do? There is a slight limit for obvious reasons and Natalia did not wish to make Guy uncomfortable. Resting a hand on her cheek, she hummed in thought. Something fun... and nice... oh!

   To genuinely have concern for another was a rare occasion, but the fact that this woman opened up to a mere stranger opened up a chamber in her heart. Bit by bit. Fragment by fragment. Her heart will be renewed once again and beat once more, for now, her heart will remain frozen and motionless. In reply Dlanor had given a nod, wanting to stray away from the topic as it may place pressure but by the mentioning of a happy memory ignited her curiosity. 

   ❝Ah… a happy MEMORY? Did I… do something… to remind you of such a fond THING?❞

   A single hand moved towards the general section of where a heart would beat, soon it was placed delicately upon aforesaid place. The doll was not aware of herself being capable of making another feel cheery and gleeful— ah, oh how this place could change a person’s perspective was unbelievable. 

   A nod and then a subsequent smile was given. ❝I am truly honored to have met YOU.❞

     There is no harm in sharing such a memory -- it is a pleasant one after all and being open to someone she will be looking after is a good idea. It isn't like there is any reason to hide the memory from Dlanor anyway. The corner of her lips curled up into a small smile and Natalia nodded her head. But for his sake maybe she shouldn't explain the whole truth...

     "Yes. You see when I was younger something happened to my my former fiancé.        He had no memories which meant he didn't know anything, or how to do ... anything.        I helped teach him a lot and looked after him. I'm sure you can see where I am going with this."

     Although, she had been rather pushy in some senses. But seeing she has been a young child it wasn't completely her fault. Natalia did not know any better unlike now. And, thankfully, she did not need to teach Dlanor the basics of living. It was just being her guardian, helping her when she needed it. 

     A large smile appeared when she heard the young girl.

      "Likewise."

"Important day? well for some.. but Valentines is a day for lovers to .. express their undying love for one another with gifts and flowers." He would swallow, something they lacked. "Doesn’t seem we can participate in this"

     Lovers... How sweet and yet how disappointing to hear about that. It made sense for those that cherish each other to have a special day, but there isn't one when it came to friends. Pushing her brows together for a moment, Natalia shook her head.

      "I believe that we can still.        Two mature adults should be able to enjoy each other's company,         and perhaps do something sweet to each other on that day."

A bouquet of Gaillardia's were left at her door, no note was attached.

     "These are truly beautiful...       I hope I can keep them fresh."

     It sounds like she really loves them.

Riful smiled, her expression slightly devious. She was glad to hear that her assumption was correct. Of course the other girl hadn’t been around for long. It was uncommon for Riful to run into people who had been there for a long timed. This city just seemed to take people in and spit them out. She could only hope for such a fate for herself. Even death was better than to be a captive, but she didn’t want to give the city the pleasure of know it had killed her. Riful was a proud creature. Even if it was painful, she’d go as she liked so she could maintain her pride.

“It is alright to admit that you are new. This city seems to be expanding its population all the time. So many people are being brought in, and these days they don’t seem to have enough places for people to live to anymore. I was one of the luckier ones, managing to get an apartment. The ones they provide are rather nice too. I can’t help but feel bad for all the people stuck on the streets though.”

The Abyssal One shook her head rapidly. She couldn’t help but get in a few jabs around how bad the conditions in the city were. Riful had never been fond of forcing people into the streets, given her own upbringing. Girls and young women in her home who ended up in such conditions were likely to end of with Yoma blood in them soon enough. If you didn’t have a home, nobody treated you as a human anyhow.

“I am actually quite new hear myself. I’ve only been in the Hive City for about a month, but it had been long enough for them to give me a few privileges. It is hard to learn your way around at first, though they have maps, but eventually you will learn it. I must say, though, you will never learn hope to get around Sector One. It is constantly changing.”

She gave a small sigh of relief. “At least we are not there right now. It’s always a pain when you go into a café on one street and wind up on another. I was nearly late for work once for one of those reasons. Speaking of jobs, have you managed to find one yet?”

      Living on the streets... a pain smiled appeared on Natalia with a faint laugh. She, unfortunately, is one of the many who had been unable to get an apartment. While the small huts they were given were nice, giving under ground felt very odd to her. In fact, Natalia could easily say it feels uncomfortable. But there is nothing she can really do about that. Now if only those in charge did something...

      "I am amazed at how many people are here.        This has to be one of the biggest cities I know."

     She couldn't exactly say if it is the biggest seeing she didn't know just how many people are in Hive and yet it felt like a large number. No matter what the time is, people are always outside and there seems to be a coward. They might be smaller but they were still there.

      How scary to think about.

      "Is that so?        It sounds as if staying here for a while isn't too bad...        However it would be nicer to go home as a 'reward'.        At least for staying so long..."

      But that would never happen. No matter how badly people wished for it. Being part of an experiment... a shiver ran down her spine. And to hear that there are such strange Sector. Just what where the people in charge of the designs thinking?  Well, given the situation it somewhat made sense but still a headache.

        "Oh, work! Unfortunately I do not. I'm still looking.        What work do you do?"

    Slowly yet surely this metropolis began to shine in a positive light but the singular thought of simply being a guinea pig only created a shudder and the light would dull into the nothingness. Forming an ambition which may create a positive impact to many had not occurred to her. For one, she simply viewed this experiment as a temporary transition in her life. Dlanor had hoped that this was not a permanent life to begin with, though as if the clouds had subsided in her mind— a clearer and brighter perspective had arisen.

   A flush of pink painted upon the cheek of her newly appointed guardian, uninformed of the source which urged the abrupt blush, a curious tilt of the head was given. The ideal option was to ignore the sudden flush of color but inquisitiveness vanquished the aforesaid thought into the nothingness.

   ❝Forgive me as well, nor did I ask for your NAME. I apologize for the suddenness but is there something troubling YOU? Did I happen to do something which provoked IT? If so, I apologize but it is a pleasure to become an acquaintance of yours, <Miss> Natalia. Dlanor A. Knox is my NAME.❞

     Blinking twice, she became puzzled over what Dlanor could mean when he hit her -- her gloved fingers touched her cheek and the princess quickly shook her head. It was kind of cute how the girl appeared to be worried about her or curious if something had happened. To Natalia, it showed that she really is a sweet person, the type that she enjoyed spending her time with.

      "No, it's nothing.        I suddenly remembered something that is a somewhat happy memory."

       She finds it a little hard to know if it is a happy or sad one. In the end it would have to be both when Natalia really thought about it. A lot of good came from it even if at first she found herself quite upset. Thankfully, Dlanor isn't someone that she is going to have to teach or at least in great detail.

     "Is that so? ... Please, Guy, I would really like to learn about it as it seems to be quite an important day."

              ⌠♥⌡—‣ “Are you planing to play as cupid? I believe you’re a little early!" Nidai had picked up on the quiver of toy arrows and bow that the young woman had on her person. Now that he thought about it, she could be cosplaying. Most people assumed his eccentric attire was due to him cosplaying, despite this just being the way he dressed.

     Cupid? Oh, right, this must have to do with the 'Valentine's Day' everyone has been talking about. They did mention something about a cupid which puzzled her at first. Smiling at the tall man, Natalia quickly shook her head and waved a free hand. 

      "No, no!        These are actually my .. weapon.        They replaced them with my real bow and arrows."

" A day for lovers! The traditions are just a tiny bit different depending on where you are, but for the most part, it involves giving someone you really like a gift of either candy or chocolates. Typically, one month after, if a girl gives a boy chocolate, if he wants to return the feeling he’ll give back white chocolate on White Day. "

     A lot of that makes sense to her. Gifts of candy or chocolates... it does sound sweet to her (no pun intended) and somewhat romantic. Everyone does enjoy them, both are food and pleasant to eat as well. There is only one thing that what he said that puzzles her...

      "So only women give the person they like a gift?"

Well, the woman was certainly friendly. Riful wasn’t expecting the woman to want to befriend her, but she was always open to friendships. Besides the fact that they helped her gain more power in this city, it was a lonely existence and the Abyssal One would really like to have someone to talk to. It was very uncommon for someone to stick around long enough for her to form any kind of meaningful bond. She supposed that was part of being a monster.

“Oh, are you trying to befriend me? Well, I won’t be opposed to that. They café you suggested sounds fine. I was just wondering if you knew one. You seem new around these parts. I didn’t figure out any places I liked to eat until recently, but I am also quite new myself.”

The monstrous girl walked over to the princess, looking mildly amused as she did. She would be fine with falling in line. She rarely went out and got drinks, since she really didn’t like anything that wasn’t bloody. However, the idea of getting something warm in her belly pleased her.

“It certainly is a cold day. Let’s go and get those warm drinks. I can’t stand to be out here much longer, miss…? Oh, I never got your name. Inviting me out for drinks and I haven’t even introduced myself. How rude. I am Riful. It is nice to meet you.”

     Friends are important, or so the princess heavily believes. They are more than allies because they are someone you can trust. At least that is what a true friend is and she has been lucky enough to experience many true friendships, or at least pull through betrayals to understand her friends correctly. This meant that trying to make friends in Hive City would be very important if she is to live here for a long time. 

     "I hope doing so is okay.      To be honest I don't know many because you're correct.      I happen to be new and has little time to explore." 

     That is something she would have to do soon. Becoming familiar with her new 'home' would be a smart move. So much to do already and it felt like she had little time to get through it all even if she could be spending months, even years here. Funny how that works. Part of Natalia didn't enjoy thinking about it because she come up with many ideas of what she needs to do. 

     Now isn't the time to think about that because they had to go to a cafe, or at least a place where they would be able to get a warm drink. It had actually been the first place she went to when she came to Hive City and the owner had been so kind to her. Returning is a bit of a must for her to do. 

     "Oh, right! I am sorry about that.       It is a pleasure to meet you, Riful.       I am Natalia. And yes, we should be on our way now."

   Assisting others was no intentions of her, but the simple fact of solving mysteries was. Though by solving said mysteries could easily benefit others, perhaps enlightening a family after finding the true culprit of their beloved one’s death. Her occupation could be interpreted in different ways though as satisfying as it was solving a mystery, it was also reassuring to hear other’s placing a smile upon their frown. 

   That some truth in it, turning a new leaf in this city was an option any individual was capable of. Allowing second chances and giving sympathy were two components which were not allowed. To suddenly have a change of heart would may as well result in a punishment for herself rather than the other, it was a merciless occupation, a life where red stained her eyes constantly.

   Even her own smile grew slightly after seeing the happiness which seeped through the other upon the acceptance of her offer. It felt reassuring to know someone was going to be there for her, this city was big enough to get lost in. There’s also the option of adventure and memories to be forged— many positive things came from this progressive relationship. 

    ❝I am just glad that you are open to guide over ME. I agree, it is quite tedious and there were zero to naught interesting things which OCCURED. However, with you around, perhaps things can change its TIDE.❞

     "I shall do my best to make sure that happens."

      While this is not Kimlasca and she did not hold the proper title of 'Princess' here, Natalia did wish to do her very best to make this city a better place. That would become her new goal here because if she had none, then what would her purpose of being here be? Being an experiment did not sit well with her so the princess felt as if she had to do something worth while here. It might not be a big impact, but she made a promise to herself to do the very best she could. 

      That is her duty as a princess. Perhaps, if she is able to get the funds, she can help more children. Maybe she can even get the young girl to help her which actually reminded Natalia of something... her cheeks became a light shade of pink. Natalia closed her eyes and took in a small breath and slowly let it out. 

     "Forgive me...       I never did ask for you name.       How rude of me. My name is Natalia."
