jaewon held jinyoung’s hand tightly in his own as the two waddled down the halls to his ex’s apartment. jinyoung, at age two, had thrown a temper tantrum, insisting that he wanted to hang out with jiyoon today. the twins were literally inseparable. it had gotten to the point where jaewon had had to purposely move to audrie’s building so that they could be together more often. he supposed that’s what happened with twins. there was just something that connected them. his hand reached the door, knocking a few times on audrie’s door. he had the passcode to her apartment, but he didn’t like using it unless he really couldn’t get ahold of her and needed to get in.

           it had taken her some courage to say what she did. areum had no idea how he’d take it. a part of her wished he’d misunderstand, mistake her words for something else entirely but when he replies with that, it was pretty obvious he got her. her wide eyes fall to his lips, realizing they were coming closer, and this time, she doesn’t move away. eyes flutter closed at the soft touch of his lips on hers, and she’d come to the conclusion that it was a lot better than all the times she’d dreamt of this moment. not knowing what to do with herself, she settles her hands on her lap before pulling away, already grinning. “you’re an idiot.”

   “Daisy is a little cute fluffball; I want to squish her cheeks all the time which she didn’t like so I’m not doing it … anymore. She might not know it but she makes my days brighter, just simple conversations over a hot chocolate or cool lemon soda are enough to make me forget the hardships of the day. Daisy’s … really precious to me, all I want is to protect and keep her safe. It’s not because I think she’s weak because I feel there are hidden abilities I don’t know of yet. That’s partly a joke but I do believe Daisy is capable of many things, she’s strong. The reason why I want to protect her is … as I said, she is precious to me, I like her. And I protect the ones I love no matter what. I don’t want her to cry, to feel afraid, I want her to be safe and happy, as naive and sappy as it sounds.”

          “you,” daphne begins, jabbing her finger at his chest to make a point. “are definitely getting something later tonight.” after all, it was his birthday. “i can give you a teaser if you’d like. a special treat, you could say. y’know, because it’s your birthday.”

henry laid there happily, the sound of water running in the bathroom making him a little sleepy. however, he soon heard camille making her way back to him and he couldn’t help but turn to her as she asked if he had gotten enough rest. “no, but that’s okay,” he laughed as he let her intertwine their fingers together. soon enough, he was off the bed and moving towards the tub, where she had set up a wonderful bubble bath, it seemed. “hm?” he wondered why she wouldn’t be joining him now, but he learned that it was best not to ask questions. he moved to the tub and looked over at her, his jaw falling slack when she let the robe fall off her shoulders and onto the ground. heck, how did she know just how to turn him on? his hands naturally wrap around her frame as she got into the tub, holding her flush against him. “way better,” he whispered, closing his eyes as he let himself relax.

haein was still in awe at the turn of events from that fateful kiss in the baseball game. she had long since dumped her now-ex-boyfriend, if it hadn’t already been obvious to him when she had decided to kiss a stranger. however, now, she was lucky enough for her relationship with sanghyun to have moved forward a bit. unfortunately, tonight, it seemed that he was just as busy as her ex, paying no mind to her. she hoped it wasn’t so much because he was wanting to ignore her, but that he had work to do. they were all busy, but haein, already having little time off of her shifts, really felt that any time she had at home was sacred.

she stood behind his laptop screen as she waited for him to close it. the moment he did, she pushed him back into the couch, moving to straddle his legs. a grin formed on her face as she wrapped her fingers around his face. “are you done working?” she asked, a small whine in her tone as she leaned in to kiss him. she closed her eyes, deepening it further before she pulled back ever so slightly. “even if you weren’t, you should be now,” she exclaimed with a grin.
