Hey munchkin! I’m on till I pass out! *hugs* I’m sorry I wasn’t only earlier this week. Things have been crazier than normal at the job (stupid training). But I should be on quite a bit this weekend! Especially on Saturday!

I spent five hours to  get it to work last night, only for it to FINALLY do so when I had to go to bed! ARGH!

Okay, I work from 8-5, so I can’t do anything long, but I can do some short starters!

Hi.

I’m...not sure who all even remembers me anymore, but...

So, I know I’ve been away for a few months.

It all started back in November. I had a dear friend of mine pass away from her cancer. All before I got a chance to say goodbye. It was a triple blow because A) Lori was my age and someone I knew since high school, B) I never got a chance to say goodbye, and C) because I feel so guilty not being able to see her sooner.

In January, my old choir director Bob passed away. I didn’t even know he was sick. He moved while I was in high school and left my church, so I was left without a way to contact him for so long. And singing...singing was the one way I’d always been able to express myself, and for a brief moment while I was in middle or high school, I didn’t hate myself. He helped to cultivate that.

And last month, February, we lost a member of my Sunday School class due to a combination of kidney failure and heart complications. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever hope of meeting, and she always believed in me.

And just...it all has hit me pretty hard. That and my job (good news is that I’m now full-time) has been stressful the last couple of weeks because well... Let’s just say we found some monsters that should NEVER be around children... 

The Carol hate I kept seeing/receiving just made me want to quit. But...well, thanks to some of the wonderful friends I have on here, I want to come back. I’ve truly missed everyone, and I hope some of you have missed me, too.

For old time’s sake, I’ll finish out the drafts I have and the replies I owed later on this week. Right now, I’ve got a couple more ooc posts I want to make, and a couple of short starters I promised. I’ll do a starter call later. Thank you to everyone who have been so patient and stuck by me. I truly love you all.

My mom hurt her back Sunday night, so when I'd get home from work, I was trying to help her out and watch my younger sister, and would just be too drained to RP. "Oof!" She barely managed to keep standing as she looked over at the brunette, blinking with surprise. "Dani?... Dani, is everything alright?" she asked, returning the embrace but frowning slightly with concern.

Granted, while Carol hoped for the best, especially when she came into Terminus, a part of her believed she’d never see her ‘family’ again. And now…all huddled in the woods, there they were…

As soon as Daryl had sat her back down upon the ground and stepped back, the gray-haired woman barely had a chance to brace herself before the young teen flung herself against her. Steadying herself, Carol tightly returned the embrace.

"I’m here, Meghan," she whispered softly, a hand running through the girl’s hair.

 The teen thought she’d never see Carol again and now she was in her arms sobbing.  She has her aunt Tara but it didn’t fill the void of her mother, but as she got closer to Carol the hole in her heart slowly filled.

Meghan didn’t want to let go of her, afraid she might leave again. Finally she did and stepped back a bit with some tears falling down her face. ”..You’re here.” She managed to say. ”I..” She stopped.

"I know," Carol responded, gently smiling down at the teen and gently stroked Meghan's hair once more before patting her on the shoulder. "I'm so glad you're safe..." Speaking the words almost made her choke up with tears that suddenly formed behind her eyes. When Carol had returned to the prison, she didn't see the brunette in the burning wreckage, and she had to admit, she feared the worst. She truly thought Meghan was gone, and when she went to Terminus, she didn't spot her. Carol believed she'd never see Meghan ever again, and yet...here, she was. She was here, and she was safe.

It was everything she could do not to burst into tears.
