It’s as if I am in a desert, searching for an oasis. Once I find it and go forward to reach it, I realize it is only a mirage. Any direction I go, there are endless mirages. In the end, nothing will satisfy my thirst because there was no water in this desert to begin with.
I can feel the desperation swallowing me whole. The feeling that everything I do to move forward is failing hopelessly continues to pull me under until I am unable to breath.

Old Habits
Old habits die hard, or maybe they don’t die at all. Maybe they get buried under numerous things, but some habits never truly leave. The tiniest of things can dig up those old habits. They break through the numerous things you used to bury it, and soon enough, the old habits burst through your core and into the real world. You forget everything except that old habit, and once again, you’re swallowed whole.
