Zohran is the new mayor of new york city with the highest voter turnout since 1960, virginia governor-elect is a democrat and the first woman to serve in the position... AND dick cheney died. Change is possible never kill yourself
Random things I noticed in the Lightning Thief Musical:
The melody of "normal is a myth" (Sally's theme) plays in the background when Chiron speaks to Percy about his mother at the beginning of "Your Sign".
"D.O.A." sounds a lot like as "Zero to Hero" from Hercules.
The intro to "The Tree on the Hill" is suspiciously similar to the intro of "What You Need" from Centaurworld... a song sung by two trees.
Ares and Clarisse have the same motif/theme.
Idk why but in my mind "Good Kid" and "My Grand Plan" always had roughly the same melody except they literally don't. đ”âđ«
Ares sounds like Orin Scrivello from Little Shop of Horrors.
"Son of Poseidon" and "Good kid" has the same melody for their first verses.
I don't know why every other thing in this musical reminds me of music from other productions/shows lol. At least they're all shows I like, so it's a good thing I guess...?
I'm not a rock person - my friend has been trying to get me to listen to "Bare" for forever, yet I keep putting it off - but this track has really defied my expectations. There are so many good parts in the music where everything just comes together and swells to such a beautiful thing. Of course there are parts that drag on a bit, but overall this has been a surprisingly moving experience for me. Longer review soon!
:)
"How do you forgive yourself for the ones you couldn't save?" "I ask myself the question, 'Did I do everything that I could?' And if that's the case, then I just have to accept that I wasn't enough, and that means that I can work on myself. That I can learn, that I can grow. And maybe if I work on myself, if I do that work, if I grow in those ways, maybe the next one will be different."

is it safe to say that i canât handle any more abandonment? itâs already become bone. what will be left of me other than the abandoned dog begging for scraps at their door?

i am dying so quietly and no one even notices the funeral inside my ribcage. no one can see that i havenât been breathing for years.

Oh Lou Wilson the performer that you are
thereâs something so visceral about his performance here
olethra asking mordecestershire âwhat did you get me from the airport?â which sends lou into a fit of giggles all while pappy is literally drowning. i love dnd
You know when Neck Deep said ânow all I can do is lay in my room, fall asleep, dream of you, then wake up and do nothing about itâ
Thatâs pretty much been my life lately.
soon.
