“Hm,” Shouto takes another swig, eyes narrowing slightly at the other. He’s not entirely sure what to make of the chipper attitude. Maybe it’s how Paxton is or maybe it’s what the job requires. It’s just… off putting since most of the people around him aren’t so cheery all the time. “You could come closer,” He leans back in his seat, tilting his head slightly to the free seat next to him. He gestures for the bartender to make him another drink, his own half finished. The soldier isn’t sure where the rest of the night is going to go, but he might as well enjoy it. // @cherrycheerss

Pax blinked in a bit of surprise, before offering a smile and sitting next to Shouto. "So, how has your day been? Has it treated you well?" He inquired. Typically a lot of folks cluttered around the club as ways to unwind, thus a lot of interesting stories came from the overworked and stressed. Shouyou listens intently, winding his hair around his fingers. He can’t help but be distracted by the length of his hair, though, as it reached his shoulders. That was something he hated about this job, having to keep his feminine features.

He did empathize with Pax’s story. “Nowhere else would hire me. I don’t have any qualifications. My mother used to dance with me a lot and when I said I was a good dancer, this place hired me on the spot. The pay is shit but it’s more than I’d ever make behind a cash register.” He shrugs. The jazz club was the last place he’d wanted to work but he’s gotten used to it at this point. // @cherrycheerss

Pax nodded in understanding at his tale. "I see, I see. Well if it makes you feel any better, you are quite the snazzy dancer! I know this place isn't always the best, but you really help make it bearable for me." He smiled sweetly. // @sunshineshou

finn offered her redheaded companion a big, bright smile. everyone always told her she had a gorgeous smile, one that could make all the men swoon! “oh you bet’cha!” she spoke with a chipper tone as gave a friendly pat on the back. “are you ready to ‘bump off’ with all them? we got the moves to do it!” finn didn’t have the most educated vocabulary. she was raised in the country and home schooled by her father; a man of many trades, but he had his rough spots!

"Sure, you seem to have quite a good collection of things here after all, so it wouldn't hurt to look." Pax stated, before scanning all the different things Jinx had to offer. Shouto was settling into a comfortable lull. He’d decided to dip the bill tonight, something he usually didn’t indulge in because he needed his senses alert. But everyone needed to relax every once and a while and this jazz club offered some of the better drinks in the neighborhood. The soldier was dipping into his third or fourth when one of the dancers had approached him. Now, he knew this dancer. They were one of the more popular ones, in demand, with their cherry smiles and hips. Shouto didn’t care too much, people made livings and people made their own beds. His beers must’ve made him looser than he thought, because he actually gave an answer, “I will be.” // @cherrycheerss

Pax smile brightened. "Is there anyway I can help with that? We all here certainly strive to make every customer's experience here an unforgettable one after all!" He spoke in his usual chipper and welcoming tone. He couldn't deny the man was rather handsome. He had known of Shouto and had noticed him in passing quite a few times in the past. Never forgetting a face was his strong suit! At least Pax would like to think so. Though even if that wasn't the case, he doubted he could ever forget someone like him. // @shcvtcs

As the dancers all gussied up for their usual performance, Pax skipped over to one of his favorite fellow dancers. "Oh you look as lovely as always." He complimented kindly. "Are you ready for another night?" He questioned. He knew a lot of the dancers weren't the happiest with what they did, so Pax liked to check up on them and attempt to lift their spirits if necessary. // @finnwins

The band starts playing a new song, filling the club with the sound of jazz once more. The atmosphere that Pax was providing at the moment was a nice change from the aura that the customers would put off. “How did you end up working here, sweetie?” // @cherrycheerss

“Well i needed the money so i could support my family and myself, as most of us do. So out of recommendation and talks through the grapevines, I found this here club. And have been here ever since.” He elaborated to him, a soft look on his features. He could sense the bitterness radiating off of Shouyou, and he honestly couldn’t blame him. This was a cruel business. “This line of work is not for everyone, but I would like to think I’m decent at what I do. Shouyou envied how carefree his coworker could be whilst dancing. He was like that too when he first started working, but somehow Pax managed to keep the spirit in him. He wished he knew how he did it.

“A little less ‘enjoying’ and a little more ‘waiting for the club to close for the night so I can go home and get some shut eye’ if I’m completely honest here, honey.” He smiles, but he knows his eyes look tired. He knows that this job can be fun sometimes, but he gets sick of the touching that goes a little too far for his liking. He does way more one on one dancing than he does performances, so he’s experienced his fair share of twisted men who thought that Shouyou had it, whatever it was. “I assume you’re doing well tonight?”

Pax nodded in understanding at his words. “As well as I can be! I am getting a bit tired myself, but hey? Might as well live in the moment a little while the night is young.” The redhead hummed in his usual chipper tone. He radiated positivity and a leisurely state of mind, but honestly that was more so a mentality he had force himself into. Otherwise he might have gone berserk. Pax had to make a living somehow though in order to support himself and his dear brother. // @sunshineshou

The sweet melodies of the band playing in the jazz club allowed for the redhead to happily sway along to the rhythm without a care in the world. That is all about what he wished could continue to be the case for the night. Though it wasn’t unusual for the air of the club to be tense as intense eyes searched for whatever answers they sought after, or perhaps purely for other purposes which Pax didn’t particularly want to get into. Despite the uneasiness he felt at times, he liked to enjoy what he did! While it had its cons, he had fun with it at least, and he felt content with it. His attention fell upon a familiar face, to which he offered his usual welcoming smile as a silent hello. As his little performance came to an end, he decided to greet them. “Hey, hey. Are you enjoying your night?”

Raising a brow, she gestured for the other to follow her inside. A customer was a customer, but how the hell was she supposed to help him if he didn’t know what he wanted? “Well,” She started, setting the broom down to the side as she made her way over to a small collection of dusts and dried herbs, “I do have these. Sunflower roots for headaches and migraines, aloe vera for burns, hibiscus dust to help with sleep. Does that sound like anything you need?” She kept her tone sweet as she explained the items, “These you just need to mix in with food or some kind of water or ale. Pax tapped his cheek in thought. They all definitely sounded like good options to bring back... Making decisions? They were not Pax's strong suit, at least not usually. But when in doubt? the sigh that fell from his lips was an accident. it was supposed to be silent and inside his head. the word master wasn’t something he liked but he had to deal with it. eyes turning back to the gemstones that had captured his attention. min fully turned his body, hand reaching down to pick one up. he needed a few of these. this was the first place he had found that had the moonstones in their raw state and not polished up to be bought for beauty. “moonstone.” min muttered though it was directed at the familiar at his feet, he said it for himself as well. // @cherrycheerss

Jinx was busying herself with making sure the front of her shop looked inviting. No one else would come in otherwise. A few potted flowers here, some there, making sure the windows were clean. Nothing too difficult, but certainly time consuming. Straightening up, she saw movement in the corner of her eye and turned to see who was coming over. when min needed to do something, he completely forgot about anything else. his mind was reading off the list of ingredients he needed. over and over and over again. he couldn’t forget a single thing. though he was sure if he tried to not forget something, he was bound to. he knew that pax was following him but he was in such a rush that he never had a chance to check as to if pax was even still back there. though something caught his eyes, his steps quickly ending as he turned to look. it was something on his list. there was a force coming in contact with his leg. he really wasn’t expecting pax to run into him, probably because he was so focused on the task at hand. turning to look down at the familiar, small smile on his face. “sorry, pax.” // @cherrycheerss

“Boy, Master Min! Your leg surely gave me a walloping.” He mused, glancing up at him. Pax couldn’t help but to let out a small little laugh though, not surprised by these turn of events. The two were off in a little excursion to find some ingredients for Min's new potion he was dabbling with. The redhead happily obliged as he was now currently scurrying the fields to find and be of use to him. He just desired to bring about Min's joy, and would work tirelessly in order to make that dream a reality. That is the bond he shared with him, an absolutely unbreakable one.
