Saw a TikTok of a Cuban saying if you’re not Cuban don’t speak on Cuba and such etc etc

There was a comment saying “my family was the second richest in Cuba and we lost all the money in the revolution” and people actually felt bad for them.

Started my day off by crying over Thomas Sankara, so I figured I would share this.

i don't think enough people are angry about capitalism because we're taught that's just how life is. we're told to suck it up, get on with it, and accept that this is the only way to survive in a late stage capitalist society.

think about how many people work for businesses that treat their employees like they're disposable and not even human. so many never speak up because they don't think they have the right to be angry. we're taught that growing up means accepting inhumane treatment, keeping your head down, and working through it because we believe there's no alternative.

but you do have the right to be angry. in fact, we need to be angrier if we want things to change.

marx wrote about the importance of organisation. he argued that the working class could only challenge capitalism by organising collectively, and part of that organisation is sharing our anger, our frustration, and our experiences. when people realise they're not suffering alone, that's when solidarity begins.
