angels visit holy places

sometimes it’s a run down school, the stained glass windows are coated in dust and the walls are splintering and everything smells like old books

other times it’s parking lots where they run around with sparklers in hands as the dark of the night surrounds them and they draw their wings in the sky with smoke

it can be a forest, the golden light dappling through the green canopy as barefoot feet grace the soft, moss covered floor

in a club as humans dance around them unaware of the being in their presence while bright neon lights burn like stars and alcohol feels like ichor in their veins

not all holy grounds are in churches
