“Sena-senpai...” He glances over at his senior with eyes-- heavy with needless guilt and utter confusion. When he’s alone, Tsukasa tends to get caught up in his own thoughts. His habit of mulling over things too long rather than letting it ferment in the depths of his mind bothers him-- but it’s the way he’s lived up until now, isn’t it? Perching on himself on the chair next to Izumi, he notes that the usual meeting place for Knights is empty except for him and Izumi. Of course, their king was nowhere to be seen-- and his other senpais claimed they were too busy to come to practice today.
While his leader has informed him a little about Knights’s bloody past during club activities once, Tsukasa still doesn’t quite know the full story. He may be nosy and just trying to meddle in with his seniors’ affairs, but... he desperately wanted to know how Knights was in its earlier stage-- was it in its prime? Has his addition to the group wreak havoc upon the dynamic? His shining seniors with such knightly finesse... what sort of blood did they have to shed to fight their way to the top?
“Is it permissible for me to ask you some questions?” He shrinks back a little, feeling his bravado wither into nothing-- nothing is as intimidating as unnecessarily prying. “I do not want to pry by asking things about the past... but I want to somehow learn from mistakes made for the future to surely be peaceful. For when all of you are gone, I do not want to tarnish the unit’s reputation that the five of us worked so hard to maintain with my own Mistakes...”

“Sakuma-senpai..? Interesting, you say? Um, what could you be talking about?”

“Leader,” Eyebrow furrow in distress, and Tsukasa closes his eyes as he notices that his senior stays still. Not at all sporadic, and not animated with the task of composing new songs inspired by menial things such as the shoes left in the shoe locker. He always counts on his leader to be spontaneous, to annoy him to no end, and in the times where he is more somber than completely all over the place... it alarms him. When he needs to, he’s serious and really, a true master and wise. His ideals and goals of the unit clash Narukami-senpai’s-- and Tsukasa is more inclined to lean toward the second year’s desires, even if he doesn’t like to voice it out loud.
“You look like you’re in deep thought,” He finally continues his line of thought, albeit dumbly, “is... there something wrong?”
“... Ou-sama.” Does that make a difference? He speaks slowly and hesitantly, picking his words carefully as eyes fixate on the ground. “Nonetheless of what you do, I will do my best to follow you. My loyalty will only falter if I don’t consider your judgement correct and fair-- I am your knight, Ou-sama. Please rely on the rest of them and me in times of Distress.”

“Ritsu-senpai... you’re really incorrigible, aren’t you? Today’s practice is very Special, so it will be preferred if you participated!” Tsukasa interrupts with a single shake of his head, sighing as he glances at his senior lounging around the kotatsu yet again. Violets expand as the boy trudges closer to Ritsu-- half tempted to try to pull him away, but his mind shouts it’s not worth it at him. Truly, the action of getting him to work is farfetched in the first place, but when he does try-- his senpai’s performance is stunning. It enchants him in a way, and he easily obtains the knightly demeanor that Tsukasa has always admired dearly.
It bothers him-- what skill does he have that Tsukasa doesn’t? He is still very inexperienced so it may be the discrepancy between those, but... he feels like he’s too far behind. Still not enough-- and to think he’ll be the King come his third year? It terrifies him.
He only managed to reign as the king once, and that was only due to support from the rest of the members and his sweet producer to oppose Knight Killers.
It wasn’t his own power.
“That’s not it... sorry, it is not very knightly to tell Lies. As you may be able to tell, we don’t have practice today.” It is a little selfish of him, and he knows that he takes too much and gives only little. “However, if you are willing, I would like to ask you some things so I can improve my performance.”
“’Shut Up’, leader! This is quite frustrating to see that you are the one who was bombarding my shoe locker!”
Oh hey, (looks at smudged writing on hand), Suo.
“Jesus Christ, Leader! Do you not have any care for even remembering my name!? I see that you definitely had to write it down! It’s Tsukasa Suou, please remember it…”

The Christmas Live had ended with wonderful success. The juniors had settled the twins’ feud on their own, the performance had gone without a hitch, and the children in the crowd had left with such wide smiles on their faces that it made his already big heart swell.
Now all that was left was cleaning up and getting his stuff, which unfortunately for him was quite a walk away from the stage. The santa outfit kept him warm as he zig-zagged towards his destination. Some of the children looked past in awe , clinging and gushing to their parents, but for the most part kept to themselves ( not that he would’ve minded if they came up to him of course ). A tuft of hair stood out in the crowd, redder than dare he say his own burning heart. Wait, hasn’t he seen someone like that before? In school he thinks… Ah yes! He was a Knights member if his memory served right.
“Oh, oh- over here!” True to his friendly nature, his booming voice stood out in the crowd. Never passing up the chance to give a word to even a distant comrade. “Merry Christmas Suoh! Hahaha☆.”
A little flustered that he still hadn’t gotten any presents for his seniors in Knights, Tsukasa resolved to go out to the shopping district for some last minute shopping. While his father’s employees worried for his safety, he reassured them that he could on his own-- and so he was here. Bags filled with unwrapped presents are cushioned between his arms in a tight grip as he navigated the crowd.
A loud and cheery voice hollered his name, accompanied with a hearty laugh. Alarmed, he turned around to the source of the voice. Tsukasa’s eyes sparkled with amazement when he sees an elder boy clad in an outfit oddly familiar. Reaching for the name describing it, his eyes widen when the word surfaces in his mind. Santa Claus. Although not exactly the mythical man told in stories and many books he read over when he was younger-- Tsukasa sought to entertain the child in him for a moment. Santa was real, and he knew his name.
“Marvelous~☆ Santa-san, it’s a pleasure to meet you!” He greeted happily, and upon close inspection he felt like he really looked familiar... it wouldn’t be far-fetched if it actually was one of his senpai. Didn’t he hear from his classmates about Ryuseitai having a live? Well, he wasn’t really aware of it being so soon-- since he had to practice for the upcoming Star Festival anyway. “Merry Christmas~♪” he enunciated in perfect English. Maybe it was time for him to indulge and revert to a child again, if only to spend time with Santa himself. “Santa-san, are you busy?”

❝ hoho~ ♪ master and senpai worry over sora for a lot of different reasons but they’re used to sora doing stuff like this already. ❞ of course, it’s not necessarily a good thing either. nonetheless, he brushes off the boy’s surprise with a hum, shoulders shrugging. if anyone had to be surprised, it had to be sora ( he’s done stuff like jumping over desks in class before— was kasa-chan just not paying attention? ).
“kasa-chan answered to kasa-chan so kasa-chan is fine! ♪ sora thinks it’s good to have a nickname, you know? friends have nicknames for each other and sora and kasa-chan are friends, right~? ☆”
“Is that so..? I think I pity them a little.” Tsukasa shakes his head, and jerks out of his state of shock and leans toward exasperation instead. He’s lying if he claims that his unit members aren’t as troublesome as Sora can be. His leader is a nuisance on his own, most of the time nowhere to be found. “I guess I’m used to this sort of thing too... but leader isn’t attempting to do such Dangerous things.” Always being focused on his studies, he rarely pays attention to the other shenanigans his classmates always got up to.
“... ugh, have it your way.” His seniors always insist on calling him with a nickname, anyways. Doesn’t hurt to have one more person do it. “We’re classmates, but... I suppose we’re friends too, Harukawa-kun. I don’t want to give you a nickname, though...”

“What do you mean Santa isn’t real? He’s real!” Tsukasa mutters, eyes wide from the preposterous idea his senpai brought up. Perhaps Sena-senpai just didn’t have a good childhood, surely? He never saw the the light in Santa’s blessed existence-- it must’ve been horrible. “I have proof for that he exists. I’ve seen him up close before!”

“Tenshouin-onii-sama, it’s going to be Christmas soon!” Tsukasa exclaims cheerfully, clasping his hands together as he approaches the president. It’s a rarity that he has the opportunity to see the older boy around campus, but in the instances he does-- he truly treasures it. He’s not sure if Eichi really does, but that’s okay.
“Usually my family goes overseas for the holiday, but I don’t think we are planning for a vacation this year. How about you?”
