maybe with the new series i'll finally fix my series masterlist situation thats been bugging me for forever
aka ive been meaning to give each of them a little identifying emoji to put by the title, so i myself know what to look for. since sometimes reading is just something i cannot bother to do
but im also worried it could make everything super clunky which is. bothersome. and idk how they'd look on all softwares, considering i only see windows 10 and samsung emojis. because yk. thats what i have.
and while i like the thought of numbering them, i think its only cause more chaos. augh. sadge :(

Kali is giving Butcher some water. Because he knows it has been awhile since the man last had water.
So at least Butcher will finally be having water.
butcher's reluctantly taking the glass and is drinking it... and then he realizes how thirsty he's been so he's pouring more in. all while scowling to himself </3
hopefully his mood will improve eventually.
but i do love the implication of kali monitoring how much water his husband drinks a day 😭 because its never enough.

Meanwhile Stone is laying on Heartthrob like a content cat. And Heartthrob is looking so amused and pleased. He can give Stone lots of kisses now.
butcher is a little embarrassed he made his husband worry and is going back to human mode... and it does make him hit his head on the underside of the desk, before he crawls out.
butcher: i'm fine, doll. really. no need to fuss over me like that.
at least stone's happy now <3 as is heartthrob. sylvester would coo over them, if he was home in that moment
Stone will use the chew toy. And then pout about it not being the same as giving someone affectionate bites. </3
Heartthrob is now coming to Butcher's rescue and is coaxing Stone to lay on him and bite him. He's using his retirement for a good cause, because now he's here to be harassed by his husband.
And isn't that great? Heartthrob wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Let his husband lovingly smother him, it's okay. He doesn't need to breathe.
butcher's just grumbly now because all he wanted was a potential little nap, but stone had to get weird about it. sigh.
i can see him going wolf mode and just sleeping under the dining room table or something 😭 why is he acting like a kicked puppy. smh.
at least heartthrob is home :) im sure stone's glad he retired. because now he can also smother him with love whenever he wants!! and unlike butcher, he actually lets it be done willingly <3

If Stone doesn't know what happens when someone bites Butcher, he'll find out soon enough. Now I'm just imagining this is one of the times he harassed Butcher into cuddling and he just went and opened his mouth to bite Butcher on the shoulder.
I swear I think someone should gift Stone an oral stimming toy and probably soon.

Idle chatter, street musicians and vendors announcing their wares sounded trough the main street of the kingdom. Decorative banners made in all colours and fabrics waved gently in the breeze, swaying even more when rambunctious kids weaved trough the crowds, giggling loudly amongst themselves.
In other words, the kingdom was lit ablaze with excitement for the festival of the summer sun.
The king himself was soon to make an appearance and to formally announce the begining of the festival, and as such, many naturally drifted towards the palace's entrance, eagerly waiting.
Yet the crowd seemed to lack a certain mysterious traveler, who usually would enjoy attending such an event.
No, instead of trying various treats and admiring a bard's song, the traveling historian found himself in the bedroom of the prince himself. Furthermore, the prince seemed so content to hold the man.
"It's been so long since I've seen you. I almost didn't believe Mason when he announced that you were spotted," the prince mumbled into the lithe man's hair, messing with the hem of his deep blue tunic. Briefly, the prince admired the golden trims and decorations littering the clothes of the smaller man, before continuing to speak.
"But is that blindfold necessary? I'd like to see your eyes, Kitty," he purred playfully, nuzzling his cheek.
Sylvester sighs, craning his head to return the gesture to the prince, before resting his head against the man's well built and carved chest.
"Unfortunately, yes. My... condition... has been worsening."
"I have--"
"Medics who could heal me, I am aware. Though I fear it will not work. And I've accepted that," Sylvester interrupts the prince.
"How can you be certain?"
"Herbs can only do so much, Adam," he mumbles, "Besides. I can still see in a way. I won't go blind. Not yet, at least. Could we switch the topic now?"
"Syl..."
"Since when is Mason on watch tower duty? I thought he was your personal knight."
"Since he had a daughter and wanted a safer position between the knights. A dead father is a no good father."
"How noble," Sylvester hums. "I would like to head outside eventually. I heard there was a vendor displaying antique books. Maybe I can snag one. The man himself has quite the handful of legends about him."
Adam smiles, kissing the crown of his head, "Only after I'm sure you've been fed and have rested. The festival is two days. Your new favorite mystery can wait"
"If you insist," he caves.
"I do."
It is early in the morning when the pair decides to set out. Most people are still out and celebrating to the fullest, and the street merchants are eager to take advantage of that.
Despite being the prince, Adam is quiet leasurely and has his guard down. Perhaps his lack of sleep is to blame, having opted to spend the few dark hours of the night to ravish his favorite peculiar visitor. Said visotor, who, despite sleeping the same, is now eagerly pulling him along, without a care in the world about the visible love marks on his throat.
Two unhappy knights follow them, locking eyes with each other, wishing to be anywhere else. The taverns look rather enticing right now, after all.
Adam chuckles as Sylvester skids to a half on the cobblestone floor, inspecting a rather unimpressive display of books. The sign was made of wood and had a snake carved into it's surface. The name being something akin to a traveling library, and the man behind it seemed intent to study the nearby buildings.
"Good morning," Sylvester greets easily, after lifting his blindfold just a smidge to see, "I've been wanting to catch you for a while now! Your book selection is simply fascinating," he chirps, carefully reading the ancient script.
The man is taken aback for a moment, before nodding along carefully, after taking in who's speaking to him. "Thank you. I like to travel around. Helps me curate a special selection."
If he's excited to talk, he hides it well. Merely glancing at the quiet prince behind the historian, yet his eyes do widen at the sign of the red splotches so visibly marring the skin.
Sylvester keeps speaking after picking up a book and inspecting the chapter index: "Oh my.. I wasn't aware such an ancient city even existed. How fascinating!"
"I could bring you there one day," the vendor says, all too eagerly, before course correcting, "I mean, I've heard quite much about you and your research on humanity's history. And I do happen to be heading that direction soon enough."
The historian cannot hide the glint in his eyes at that. Though Adam chooses now as the perfect time to interviene: "We do have to get going now. I heard there's breakfast being served back at the palace soon."
"Oh- uh, alright? Wait, I'll be back here soon, I swear!" the long haired man fumbles, thrown off kilter, as the prince drags him home, only really giving the vendor a chance to wave.
Yet he is so glad to have met him in the first place. That in on itself constitutes a productive day. And all he can do for the next handful of hours is wonder why his eyes were bound shut like that.
He feels sooo lucky to be married to Butcher. His husband . <3
He’s asking what kind of pasta Butcher is cooking.
butcher: you'll have to be more specific than that, doll. if you mean the pasta shape itself, this one's called penne. but syl, disgracefully, calls them the tubes. ugh.
butcher: but if you mean what im going to add to it, uh, probably some steamed veg and chicken, if i can find it.. might need to drop down to the nearest store which is.. inconvenient.
butcher: and i'd also like a salad on the side as is. just something leafy with a bit of sour cream and its good to go.
butcher: so in essence im making fuck alls with who knows what. heheh.
at least hes amusing himself. dude is fully just talking to himself 😭 but at least hes talking. yay :)
Kali: I stayed right where I was. Because you deserved to have a nice pillow. :)
Kali is hungry and there is apparently ingredients to make a nice dinner. He’s now following after Butcher, looking so cute as he watches his hubby.
butcher: well ain't you simply darling then, doll? thank you.
he's pulling kali in for a kiss,,, all while squeezing his thighs to "check" if they really are as soft and nice as kali claims. what a handsy guy istg 😭
anyways, the kiss ends too soon. because butcher spotted pasta and he's decided that's suitable for dinner, mhm :) hopefully they dont end up needing to do a grocery run 😭
Death: What do you mean I'm not intimidating anymore?
Me: Well... You do act like a lovesick puppy with Theo.
Death: So? I'm still scary.

Anyways, Kali can deal with how much Butcher rolls. He'll make sure his husband doesn't fall off the bed. Because his husband needs his rest!!!
i mean.. maybe im just too used to death by now. hes just a cutie who cares too much than he likes to admit. and who really becomes a little lovesick puppy when theo is around
i lowkey admire his persistence to *only* be with theo. man saw a sweaty gross anxious athlete who needs an emotional support dog and was like "i can die happy now in every au"
butcher will eventually wake up though. and he'll be very surprised that he's still in kali's lap. aw. i think hes too used to waking up basically in another country with how much he moves in his sleep
Well, this is why Kali is holding him. So he won't roll off the bed. He'll stay right where he is, all nice and comfortable.
And Kali will glare at you if you say otherwise. (I don't think Kali knows he's not as scary as say Death or Stone.)
well, i hope kali is prepared for how much butcher does, in fact, roll around and squirm about in his sleep. it'll be hard to keep him there, that's for sure!
and yeah.. kali's barely intimidating. sorry man </3 and even death and stone have lost that novelty. crushing, i know. /lh
