Police search for missing Brampton woman

Alice Mathu, 18, was last seen around 9 p.m. on Sunday by her friends in the area of Kennedy Road and Queen Street East in Brampton.

Peel regional police are asking the public to help them find a missing young woman from Brampton.

Alice Mathu, 18, was last seen around 9 p.m. on Sunday by her friends in the area of Kennedy Road and Queen Street East in Brampton.

They say she was acting somewhat irrationally at the time.

Mathu is black, five-feet two-inches tall and 150 pounds with short hair that may be coloured dark purple.

She was last seen wearing black sandals, a long, dark brown, African-style dress and a cream coloured sleeveless shirt with a drawing of an elephant.

Police and family are concerned for her safety since she suffers from mental health problems and her disappearance is out of character for her.
