Shocking. [Closed RP;- Saito and Chiau.]
—♧So much had been happening over the past few days, and Chiau's mind was in a mix of complete despair and dizziness from it all. She didn't wish to speak to anyone, or even make eye contact with anyone. She only wished to figure out the hospital's secrets by herself. She'd get a lot more done that way, without dealing with grief, without dealing with people, without dealing with death. If anyone came to her with murderous intents, she'd know how to deal with them, she wouldn't let herself be caught off...
guard.
Crash. Chiau's musings were cut short by the feeling that her body had slammed into that of another person. She fell helplessly to the floor, a slight yelp escaping her mouth. She rubbed at her head, trying to get out of the daze she was caught in as she fell over, waiting for her vision to come back to her. As she looked up, she saw the figure of a boy she knew very well, yet at the same time, knew nothing about. Of course, it was Saito. Chiau didn't move, however, she did bow her head apologetically towards the male who had fallen opposite her.
"...! Oh, my apologies, Saito- I wasn't looking where I was going, and I...- Oh..." Struggling to find anymore words to apologise, Chiau simply found herself sobbing. Why was she crying? All she did was bump into him. Perhaps this was something more, however.
"Kyo... I've been thinking... Y... You're not like them are they... You won't... You've never hated me, have you...? We're friends... right....?"
Kyo tilted her head at the question, but then shook her head. “Not really, no. I’ve never hated any one other than Monobear’s controller, so yeah. If you consider us friends, then yeah. We’re friends.”
—♧ Placing a pale hand on her chest and sighing in what appeared to be relief, Chiau approached the smaller female with reassurance. She smiled to her, warmly, as if all the trials, all the deaths that had been happening, weren’t happening. If it were at all possible, one would notice all colour drained from Chiau’s features, if you disregarded how pale she was even before all of this mess, or perhaps they would notice the hesitation in her words. Did she really want to be friends with everyone? Well… Not those ones… Kyo was different in Chiau’s eyes. She was… She wasn’t a killer, she had a certain air about her, one Chiau was sure she could grow to love.
“I’m glad… Very glad…”
She didn’t really understand what Chiau was so worried about when it came down to that. She didn’t really think about it too much and just produced a bright smile to copy hers. In all honesty, Kyo was a bit afraid of Chiau, not because of her ability to snap wrists with her bare hands, but more because she had stormed out of the trial room calling everyone murderers and she didn’t think Chiau would want to talk to her.
"Mmm? That’s good," she replied, nodding. "Uh… just a question though; why’d you ask?"
—♧ Why did she ask? Chiau placed a finger to her lip and tapped at it thoughtfully. Then, with a snap of her fingers, she'd finally come up with her answer for Kyo,
"...! Why I ask? Well, I've been an A-Class bitch to everyone recently... And as soon as I realised they deserved it, my mind came to think of you! You don't deserve any of that.... In fact, you deserve better.... So much better...." She spoke the last sentence in a low whisper, but it could be disregarded straight away as she soon perked up again;
"How about we go get a coffee~?"
Damn them. All of them. [Chiau and Nate]
He being Tatsuya. His death had actually affected Chiau. Nate thought that was strange, even they did patch things up Tatsuya’s letter seemed to state they never became friends. Maybe it was what Tatsuya represented.
Then she suggested something terrible. They knew it was possible now. But the thought of Tatsuya coming back the same way Tyz did actually horrified Nate. “No, Chiau. I think that is a really bad idea. And…” Nate thought back to Tatsuya’s note again. “I don’t think he’d want us to, even if we could. He wanted us to survive, to escape. He wanted us to help each other to do that. He had faith and hope in us. More than any of us probably have in ourselves.”
He needed to be honest, instill his words with some meaning. “Chiau, I’ve been a really terrible person. Done things that were just awful. And I stopped but even when I got here I was out for myself, I’d help others if I could but in the end I was going to survive, everything else was irrelevant.” As Nate alluded to his past it was like he the gun burning in his pocket. He held his hands up, trying to show he meant no harm. “But Chiau I was wrong. I’m starting to think I’ve been going about everything wrong. Now the truth is I don’t really know you but do you think the reason you were so eager to get “justice” for Tatsuya was maybe guilt? For what happened?” Nate hoped this suggestion wouldn’t make Chiau’s state worse. “I think we’ve both made mistakes, me probably a lot more of you. But don’t you think it’s possible that we could be better people? If we tried hard enough?”
—♧ Chiau's thoughts came to a halt, as Nate shot down her idea. She pursed her lips, as if in deep thought. No, she didn't mean bring him back like the other students. Not gormless, despair driven and emotionless... But actually bring him back. The Tatsuya they all knew. She needed him. She needed him.
She....
"...! Nate, please... Don't bring my idea down just yet... Okay, sure, I get we've all made these mistakes... And, trust me, I've made a lot more mistakes than anyone else, and not being there for Tatsuya was a major one... So, listen to me... We have to bring him back, no matter what the cost... W... Where do they keep the bodies here?! They gotta put them somewhere? Let's go for instinct rather than reason here, just for once. Perhaps this won't be a mistake... We can change things...!"
She was in a sense of delirium right now, her thoughts not quite there. She was hellbent on getting Tatsuya revived, if that were at all possible, given the state of his body when he was found. Chiau took hold of Nate's shoulders and looked up towards him, straight in the eyes,
"... Can I count on you?"

She wasn't a killer, she had a certain air about her, one Chiau was sure she could grow to love.
"I'm glad... Very glad..."
Chiau, you are one of the more vulnerable students now. Haven't they suspect you in most of the trials? You don't have anyone to back you up, looks like your luck that you never had at all is running out
".... I don't... I don't care. One of these bastards are gonna kill me, and I don't know why they haven't done it yet."
Damn them. All of them. [Chiau and Nate]
—♧ Chiau was broken, she didn’t know what to do. If she had any friends, they all hated her by now. They had to, what was the use in thinking high of someone like her. Someone who didn’t belong there.
Someone who didn’t belong…-
She heard footsteps round the corner to where she was hiding, she could have easily recognised them by now, judging by the amount of times she found herself in this situation. She looked up through tear filled eyes, and found Nate, which was who she had guessed was standing there, without even looking. She remained silent as he spoke to her about all the different times they had seen each other over the past few weeks in the hospital. How he tried to help her when she was injured, and how he reassured her after her humiliation.
But everything felt meaningless.
She couldn’t bring herself to say anything, as she continued listening to Nate’s words, and that choked up feeling was only made worse when he asked her how this all ended for her. Could she be honest, just for once…? “How do I see this ending…? F-For me…? I don’t know… I don’t… Everything I wanted… Everything was torn down, as soon as he….” She stopped, she couldn’t continue speaking. Instead, she buried her face in her hands, sobbing silently.
Talking about the past didn’t seem to have much effect, Nate wondered if she was even paying attention to him. Maybe she’d gotten to the point where she thought everything he said was meaningless. That would be partly Nate’s fault, he had lied to her. But it was with semi-good intentions, attempting to defuse someone unstable and dangerous.
Then his question about endings seemed to breakthrough. She spoke vaguely, how everything she wanted was torn down. Did she mean recently? He moved closer to her, slowly, carefully. Who was Chiau talking about when she said ‘as soon as he’. If he could find out maybe Nate might still be able to reach her. “He?”
—♧ Had she said too much? Or had she said too little? She had to backtrack her last sentence in her mind to understand the context of Nate's question. Chiau couldn't speak up without having to choke back tears, and it would seem that her voice had taken a killing, since she shouted a lot during the trial. She placed a tentative hand on her chest, given an attempt at clearing her throat. It didn't help very much. She continued to look down as she soon moved both her hands subconsciously over her ears, shaking her head, before finally giving her response, "He.... He.. Being... Tatsuya... He died... He... Was killed... Yet was willing to kill himself... He was only shred of hope left for this hospital, and not even he could hold it-!" Chiau stopped before she snapped again. She shut her eyes tight, feeling an oncoming storm of tears flooding her eyes once more.
She just couldn't do this anymore.
"We.... We have to bring him back, Nate. We just have to....!"
Damn them. All of them. [Hiromi + Chiau]
Chiau didn’t wish to stop walking once she’d left. She’d already told the others what she thought of them, and if she saw any of them, or made contact with any of them, she was afraid she’d snap even more, if that were possible. She heard someone chasing after her, and the voice that accompanied those steps were all the more frustrating. The luckster paused, spinning round on her heel as she was now face to face with Hiromi, the same look of anger flashing across her features. However, that expression soon faded, as soon as the other had said that he needed to speak with her.
What kind of theory did he have this time.
Chiau placed her hands on her hips and looked up at Hiromi. She respected the taller male a lot, but god he was so dim to think a bear could murder people. But she guessed she needed some comic relief. “Okay, talk. Enlighten me.”
Hiromi froze at the look of anger on her face and a shiver went down his spine and caused him to spasm slightly. It wasn’t a great hello, sure, but at least he’d built up the courage to stop her. Clearing his throat, he tried to look Chiau in the eyes but failed miserably, looking at the floor nervously.
"L-Look.. I know I’m not your favourite person and I’m sure you think I’m as thick as the other’s do too.." He muttered, pulling his clip out of his pocket and holding it in his hand reassuringly, "But I really think I’m right here, a-and even if I’m not.. Surely finding out who put us here is more important than sending our friend’s to their deaths?"
Shuffling anxiously and summoning enough courage to look directly at the smaller female, he whispered, “The one thing I’m not so sure of is if I can do this alone..”
—♧ Chiau paused. Although the male was making a good point, she had no idea whether she could trust any of them now. They could all be ready to kill her, after every single trial she was a foul piece of work. She didn't know what to do. Could she hold trust in Hiromi..? After all...- No, she was sure she could handle anyone if they tried to kill her. It's happened before, she knew she could hold off even the strongest of people. Sighing in defeat, Chiau glanced to one side before making her final decision. ".... Alright then, you've got a point. But, do you really think a student put us here? That's an awfully brash statement for someone like you, Hiromi-san." Oooh, back to honorifics again, it seemed that Chiau was putting on a calm front. She wasn't letting her guard down, especially if there were students going round thinking another student was behind all of this.
