you’re not the social type, but jeno somehow managed to drag you out of the house to a birthday party. chenles birthday, to be exact, and you couldn’t say no because you and jeno were at the point in your relationship that his friends were now your friends.
it was a small get together, chenle didn't want anything huge and you were more than okay with it. you were 2 hours and 2 drinks into the party, jeno was 2 hours and 5... maybe 6 drinks in and his face was flushed bright pink.
he was already pretty clingy, always needing to be touching you in someway and it had just gotten ten times worse with each drink entering his system.
he couldn't keep his lips off of of your cheek and hand, you practically had to pry yourself away from him to go use the restroom.
"i wanna go," he whispered to you the second you sat back down, "i'm tired."
"let's go, then," you knew it'd be a long night of taking care of his drunken self, but you didn't have a problem with it. you secretly loved how clingy he got that way.
the two of you wished chenle a final happy birthday and said goodbyes to everyone else while you awaited your uber, and soon enough, you were jamming your key into the front door of your shared apartment.
jeno had his pointer finger hooked around the belt loop of your jeans and didn't let go as you walked into the kitchen to pour him a glass of water. you stumbled a bit as he wrapped his arms around your waist tightly, resting his head on your shoulder.
even though you'd already been dating for over a year, you couldn't help the butterflies erupt in your stomach at his loving gestures.
you again gently pried yourself out of his arms to turn around and hand him the the glass, and he takes it. his eyes don't leave yours as he sips and you have to fight off a smile.
"you're pretty," he suddenly mumbles.
"drink your water," you order again when he goes to set down the glass after only a few sips.
he groans, ignoring your words, and wraps his arms around you again. your face was buried in his chest now, the faint smell of his cologne engulfing your nostrils and you tried not to take a huge whiff.
"i love you so much," he blabs, "we should stop acting like we actually enjoy going to parties."
"we do," you laughed, "chenle's our friend, jeno."
he gets comfortable and leans his body into yours until your pushed against the counter, your chest rising and dropping heavily from the laughter escaping you. your hands fell to his torso in a lazy attempt to push him off. it didn't work.
"i love you," he says again, more in a whine that time than anything else.
you hummed, "you said that already."
"did i?" he questions playfully, finally pulling away to stare down at you. "i can't remember. i love you. you're so pretty, i love you."
you laugh again and he leans down for a kiss, but his lips collide with your teeth and you laugh even harder. he doesn't care, he pecks your lips a few more times before going back to the previous position.
"alright, it's getting too warm. let go."
"okay, let's move to the bedroom," he suggests, unraveling himself again. your eyes almost widen at the suggestion sentence but you soon realize he most certainly is just talking about cuddling.
your body grows cold when you leave his grasp, but he steps aside to allow you to walk ahead and his fingers find your belt look again as you made your way to your room.
a huff falls past your lips as you drop your belongings on the floor and strip from your jacket, while he does the same. it's not long until the two of you are far from your outside clothes and into something much more comfortable.
usually jeno would flop onto your bed and sprawl his long body out, but his head was still spinning and he was afraid he'd projectile vomit everywhere if he did that.
he gasps cutely, "movie?"
"didn't you say you were tired?"
"i lied," he admits shamelessly, "that was an excuse to come home and cuddle."
you throw your head back in disbelief, "babe—”
"i just think that a harry potter movie sounds delightful right now," he interrupts, grabbing a hold of your wrist and pulling you onto the bed with him.
you couldn't even say that you didn't love how he made an excuse for the both of you to go home early, because if it weren't him, it probably would've been you.
"come here," he sighs, pulling you into his arms for the hundredth time that night, "my pretty girl."
your heart skips a beat at your favorite nickname, but you don't say a word. you smile to yourself and enjoy the sound of his breathing and the warmth of his body, your eyes getting heavy even though you were wide awake just minutes ago.
your eyes shoot back open in realization. "harry potter?"
you think for a minute before deciding you were too tired. "nevermind, too sleepy."
"it's past our bedtime, anyways," he jokes, "goodnight my queen, my goddess, my everything, my—”
