In honor of my birthday; Shani and my roomies surprised me with Ken and Harper visiting the Windy City! I had such a fun time and couldn’t think of a better way of celebrating my birthday! Barbie~

My little collection is growing! I have gained several new dolls for my collection, but the ones I am most excited about are my Superman Barbie and my Hello Barbie! I’ve been interested in Hello Barbie for a while now, but when I saw that she was on sale for $30 dollars, I jumped at the chance to get her. I have to say her main function is to entertain with different games and conversations (Which you totally can get sucked into) BUT her clothes cannot be removed, which was expected and her legs do not bend or move at all, which was a surprise to me. However, the most complaints that people have had about her (besides technical troubles which I had none with her set up) was about her hair and I actually found it very cute!

Another doll that I decided to treat myself to was this lovely Superman doll. I am a big fan of comics and I am an even bigger fan of Superman, so seeing this Superman doll based off the recent DC movies starring Henry Cavill, I could not wait to add this to my collection. All in all he is pretty sturdy doll and his cape is awesome! His whole suit is sewn shut and his cape has trouble staying on his shoulders from time to time since its just itty bitty pieces of velcro holding on to this heavy cape, but he was well worth it ranging at $22 dollars.

First *OFFICIAL* Post!!! I recently have began my journey into the Barbie collecting world. While I get that I am late in the game and probably far behind other more seasoned collectors, I still am enjoying this hobby of snapping photos of such a big style icon. So I begin with The Barbie Look Park Pretty doll as well as some newer Barbies. I was excited to get the curvy Barbie as well as the Tall Barbie (Not photographed), but after getting my collectors Barbie, I was impressed with the quality and effort put into her.

These are just a few of my early photographs of her and her friend (Since she didn’t have a name, I named her Candice on a friends suggestion :D ) and they are both “seflies” Barbie took with her iphone. Enjoy!
