Everyone has posted their starter for our starter event, so this post will act as a starter round up for the prompt. Please remember to send at least one person to every reply by Tuesday, June 15. It may not be someone your character already knows, but try your best. We did this to push everyoneâs boundaries and creativity. You can find the starters below.
Itâs June 8th. The moon is at a Waning Crescent with winds blowing South at 10-15 mph. The high will be 83°F/28°C with a low of 67°F/19°C. There is a 14% chance of rain with overcast skies all day.
Itâs time for our second Starter Prompt Event! Everyone should have received an ask from the main with a starter task that is mandatory; these tasks will also be listed below. Everyone must make their task starter between 9 AM CST Tuesday, June 8th, and Friday, June 11th. All Muns must send at least one muse to each starter task by Tuesday, June 15th. Muns are encouraged to send more than one muse but no more than three muses to a starter task. These threads are encouraged to be brought to an end by Tuesday, June 22nd. If you have any problems reaching this deadline please contact the admins. Below are a few things that may help out for this task:
Consider joining up with other players to have a multiple-character thread. Two people could come to the rescue, or a group of others may be being pursued.
There is a mandatory thread drop as of Tuesday, June 8th @ 9 AM CST. This is to allow everyone the chance to focus on these threads and not feel overwhelmed. Itâs also to bring to an end any threads that have been going on since the last mandatory thread drop.
Do NOT make any new starters for the unselected muses until all of their starter task threads are brought to an end. There must be a solution or compromise to end each thread. PS: These threads cannot be dropped and must end by Tuesday, June 22nd. Feel free to finish them early as long as the task is complete.

Jackson: A significant amount of spiders have been discovered in the Underground. Nests of them are popping up in nearly every section of the Underground and itâs starting to concern the patrons. Itâs unclear whether this was purposeful or accidental; either way, Jacksonâs love for spiders means he is the man for the clean-up job. Have Jackson post a starter where he must calm down another member of the supernatural and rescue them from the various arachnids. Â
Derek: Itâs been a long shift, and Derek has found who he believes to be a new face of D.W.; unfortunately all heâs working on is a hunch. Have Derek strike up a conversation with this person to try and gather more evidence to provide back at SKIN HQ. Post a starter where he attempts to deduce whether this person is a part of the human shifter family or just a regular joe. ** Keep in mind that at least ½ of people replying will not be human shifters, as only Anna, Kat, and Michaela have one. Still try to push the conversation forward regardless to see if Derek can make new friends.**

Tiggy: Tiggyâs lost control of her powers and sheâs beginning to disintegrate everything she touches; her phone, keys, wallet. Sheâs scared of teleporting, for fear she may self-disintegrate in the process, and is stuck and frightened. Post a starter where Tiggy is panicking about hurting others or disintegrating others belongs; attempting to drive them away.
Dante: Dante is trail running in the woods when he hears the crack of a gun. He could pick up the sound of a rifle anywhere after being in the army. His protective streak comes out and he begins to look around for anyone hurt when he sees a figure walking towards him from the direction of the shot. Have Dante post a starter where he must discover if the person is a friend or foe and if they need help.
Maggie
Jin: Jin has gotten plastered after a particularly difficult shift and has found a new friend at the bar. Whether this friend is supernatural or not; Jin isnât in his right mind to care, he is in the mind to go adventuring. Post a starter having Jin convince his drinking buddy to go on a crazy exploit before the night is over.
Esther: Being the naturally active person she is, Esther has organized a school fundraiser Mud Run to try and raise money to purchase instruments for those less fortunate at Panthera. Unfortunately, being so busy planning everything, Esther forgot to find herself a partner. Make a starter to try to convince one of the spectators at the event to join her; this could be a friend, acquaintance, or a random stranger she pulls from the crowd.

Aisling: Aisling is on the clock and out looking for a fresh batch of blood. She has a âshopping listâ in hand and spots a rare treat that she knows is Gettaâs favorite. Post a starter to convince said âtreatâ to come down to the Underground with her to donate blood. Or if theyâre weak enough, hunt them down and bring them to be turned into cattle. Donât accept no too easily and try to think of ways to convince them to donate; be creative.
Selene: Ever the Astronomy nerd; Selene has set up her telescope to try and watch the stars far out in the woods. She hopes to get a glimpse of the Annular Solar Eclipse, as well as a glimpse of Uranus. While sheâs setting up for a night of stargazing a stranger stumbles upon her campground; much to her dismay. Create a starter with Seleneâs reaction; note that the stranger could be in human or animal shape, and maybe any kind of supernatural or human.
Kat
Patch: There is nothing Patch loves more than finding someone with a truly unique feature. Whether that be the color of their eyes, the sweep of their chin, or the shape of their nose; he tries to capture it so he may apply it to one of his creations in the future. Patch has just stumbled across a new face and now must ask the person for a snap. Post a starter where Patch is attempting to procure an image of someoneâs body to use later.
Luke: In an effort to impress his new bosses at the television station, Luke has found out about a possible scoop on some disappearances. Heâs tracked down a few leads and is now interviewing one of them. Use all of Lukeâs general charm to convince the interviewee to let down their walls and tell him something juicy about what they know.
Anna
Zelda: The L is down and Zelda, along with a bunch of other passengers, is stuck. Itâs late and she was hoping the Red Line would be faster than driving through the construction mess on the exit near her familyâs home. As the group sits, itâs become clear that one of the passengers is freaking out. Create a starter in which Zelda attempts to calm down the situation. Those who respond to it may be also attempting to help or be the person who is freaking out.
Jia: Jiaâs just ended another one of his massive parties when he hears footsteps walking around the living room. As he enters he sees an unfamiliar face looking confused and dazed. He discovers that something is wrong with them. Post a starter in which Jia is discovering this person and attempting to find out what happened to them.

Jackson once had big plans for the future, leading him to having a sense of wanderlust. As a human, he was considered an upstanding citizen. He was, and is, a hard worker. In the years since he was turned, Jackson has become more laissez-faire when it comes to dealing with people. He likes to be part of the crowd and it is easy for him to connect with others, getting along with just about everyone he comes across with. He is good at noticing little things about people, which has developed into an ability to figure people out with ease. Jackson takes advantage of this in his job, he enjoys watching those who come into the bowling alley and learning new things about them. He is able to connect with people quickly and charm them. Jackson doesnât seem to have any real plans for himself. Heâs just living life the way that he wants to.Â
He has something of a temper that he attempts to keep in check. He has gotten into trouble before with it getting the better of him, and it can still rear its head from time to time. Jackson has done everything he can to keep Fallon and her family from learning about his anger issues due to his fear that it will put a swift end to their relationship. He can end up being curt and short with people when he feels like he is losing his temper. Â

Edgar Underwood (Father): Edgar was a hard man to get close to, but he worked hard for his family. Jackson and he would often argue over Jackson not wanting to remain on their farm and when he left for Chicago, Edgar told him not to come back. Edgar and William both died during the Civil War.Â
Mary Underwood (Mother): Mary was easier to get close to, but she was just as steadfast in her beliefs as her husband. She supported Edgar in telling Jackson not to return home after he left. Jackson later found out that Mary died not long after William and Edgar.Â

Itâs been a few months since he and Fallon became official and Jackson is just as smitten as he was when they first started dating. He likes to try and surprise her, often coming up with interesting dates or sweet gifts for her. He fully believes that she is the one but doesnât want to broach the subject with their relationship being so young.Â
Platonic Connections:
Aisling Rois (Friend): Jackson spends a fair amount of time at Cryptic when he isnât at the bowling alley. It was there that he met Aisling and the two hit off a nice friendship. Aisling comes into the bowling alley every so often to hang out or the two go spend time around the courts.Â
Markus Reese (Sire): Jackson has always had a good relationship with his sire, and still does to this day. The two met each other not long after Jackson made his way to Chicago and settled into the city, becoming quick friends. Markus was a young vampire, only about 150 years old and he eventually showed Jackson the supernatural world that existed under Jacksonâs feet. After Jackson learned about his familyâs fates, Markus offered him a place within the seethe and Jackson took it. Both of them have remained close and good friends in the nearly 2 centuries that have passed. The two get together fairly regularly to spend time together and catch up.Â

Chai Gates (Bowling Team Member): As one of the members of the bowling team, Jackson sees a lot of Chai. Chai is someone that Jackson can talk to and he enjoys having her around. She is also one of the friends that Fallon has introduced to him when they started dating.
Raul Santiago (Bowling Team Member): As one of the members of the bowling team, Jackson sees a lot of Raul. They donât talk much outside of the normal niceties that come from Jackson running the bowling alley. He knows that Fallon doesnât much care for Raul, but he has nothing against him. Â

Richard Fili (Frustration): Fili tends to cause problems and the fact that he never gets into trouble over it drives Jackson nuts. He knows that heâs untouchable, and not getting into any drama himself has been the major reason he doesnât end up snapping and kicking him out of the bowling alley.Â
Luke Bowick (Dislikes): Luke tends to be a disrupting force in the bowling alley and it grinds Jacksonâs gears. He has been banned from the bowling alley since Jackson caught him eating his male tarantula a few months ago.Â
