Mongo is a rogue planet that travels through our solar system under the control of its dictator, Emperor Ming. Mongo is an inhospitable planet, with various extreme climate zones. Travelers to Mongo must pass through a "Death Zone" on the way, described by scientist Dr. Hans Zarkov as being "a zone devoid of any force". Mongo has at least two recognised moons, one of them being the planetoid Lunita. The area around Ming's palace is desolate and devoid of vegetation. Dragons live in the nearby caves. Other vicious animals of Mongo include Monkey Men, orangopoid, and white-striped, bear-like animals. The oceans of Mongo are home to giant sea life, including eels, sharks, water dragons and octosaks. The people of Mongo have progressed scientifically beyond Earth. According to Ming, "the reason for our success is that we possess none of the human traits of kindness, mercy or pity! We are coldly scientific and ruthless!" The capital of Mongo is Nascent City, known in the comic strips as Mingo City. The main currency is the gold mingol.
(excerto) O AmanhĂŁ NĂŁo Existe - (excerpt) Tomorrow Doesn't Exist from chico PERES on Vimeo.
Tomorrow Doesnât Exist is an experimental documentary exploring nothingness through the spectacle society, the death of community, and the rise of individualism. Blending personal stories, poetic voiceover, and expressionistic visuals, the film reflects on alienation and the search for meaning in a fragmented world.

Journey Through Twin Peaks - Part 4: Laura is the One from Lost In The Movies on Vimeo.
"Journey Through Twin Peaks" is a 4-part video series analyzing the narrative cycle of Twin Peaks, stretching from the pilot through Fire Walk With Me. Part 4, "Laura is the One," explores the 1992 prequel feature film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, including its controversial reputation and the character arc of Laura Palmer, as well as the "afterlife" of Twin Peaks, including the show's impact on David Lynch's later films.
Additional credit: thanks to Cameron Cloutier, who pointed out the different portraits in Fire Walk With Me, qbin2001 for informing me about the "Booth 9" video, and Tony Dayoub for suggesting the film as a fulcrum for Lynch's adoption of female protagonists. Also, a credits correction: Howard Rosenberg wrote about the show in 1990, not 2013. And Sheryl Lee's diary entry is from 1991, not 1992 (the film was shot in the fall of '91 and released in theaters a year later).

Re-Cut TUSK - Mini-Series Cut from chico PERES on Vimeo.
Made with the intention of launching a trilogy about Canada, Kevin Smithâs Tusk is a divisive shock-horror-comedy about a podcast host who is captured, kidnapped and turned into a walrus. My re-edit imagines the film as a TV miniseries broken into two episodes. The experiment plays with pacing and structure to change the rhythm, as well as the emotional impact of the film. I see this less as an attempt to correct Kevin Smithâs work than to re-imagine it. Without removing elements that were in the original film, I restructured and in some cases corrected the original cut to suit a more television friendly structure. Some of my editing decisions simply make cuts a bit smoother or have a little more punch (editing on a beat), where in other cases Iâm reworking meaning and trying to reward the audience with elements of foreshadowing and building of suspense. My edit doesnât save all that is wrong with the film, but I also like to think it highlights that Smithâs film doesnât deserve nearly as much hate as it receives. I hope you like my little experiment, please be sure to let me know what you think!
