Hello and welcome to my Monkey D. Dragon ask blog! I've only ever lurked around the ask community and since the old one died down ages ago I didn't realise there was a new one brewing. From what I've seen there's no Dragon yet... So decided to try this out since I'm burned out from trying to find actual rp partners for him for serious writing...

This is just for fun! Drama free, I am an adult (29!) and thus sex jokes may happen. You may refer to me by Lena, if need be. My actual characterisation of Dragon is heavily canon divergent (he was NEVER a marine) but for simplicity's sake I shall keep this blog as canon-adjacent as I am able. I am not caught up to manga but I do know generally most of what has been going on.

Shipping/flirting may happen. While I am generally a pro-shipper I do not care for Crocomom. Shipping with a Crocodile, sure, but please no allusions to him being Luffy's mom!

"A week eh? Did my cutie fly here?" she purrs to him, standing confident as always.

[Swallows thickly and walks up to her before wrapping her in a hug]

See her blink and frown, hugging him back with all her strength.

"For... What? Did something happen to Luffy?" she asks worried now.

[Squeezes her, not letting go for a good couple of minutes]

[Pulls back, letting go]

We should go. A lot has... changed — I'll catch you up on the way.

She gives him that moment, glad to feel him herself.

Then looks at him, head tilted as he speaks.

"I take you by your word.... Don't think I let you escape any questions my dear." she warns with a smile.

"Lead the way." she grabs his hand.

[He leads the way to the coast, staying mostly quiet despite his earlier words. She's going to ask questions, regardless.]

She follows him, giving him some minutes to sort his head. But when he stays quiet she asks her first question.

"So... How much time did pass?" she looks to his hair again.

"Should I expect to be a grandma now?"

[He doesn't look at her when he speaks.]

It's been 18 years.

Something she frowns over, her thumb rubbing over his hand.

"So... Are we grandparents already or is our boy out for other things first?" she pokes a bit more. Trying to ignore the knot in her own stomach.

[A slow exhale]

No, he's... a pirate. I don't know his current whereabouts for certain, although we have our intel on his crew's general movements in the New World. He has proclaimed he is going to become the next Pirate King.

The blatant disrespect of this ask aside,

Lindbergh is the Commander of the South Army. Commander is the third highest rank we have, preceded only by Chief of Staff and Chief Commander. Commanders are chosen and promoted by me. They are formidable and trusted members of the Army. In contrast, it was the Commanders who selected Sabo as the new Chief of Staff after our first was killed in action. I merely appointed him after the election.

Commanders have nigh independent control over their assigned forces, so long as they adhere to our Code of Conduct. They have total authority to appoint officers within their Army and recruit new members without my or the Chief of Staff's clearance. They are also permitted to draft their own plans for military operations, put them into action, carry out discipline against insubordination and decide the fate of prisoners of war.

Many difficult front-line decisions befall them and most often they act in my stead during campaigns. Being a Commander comes with a heavy responsibility.

On top of all of that, Lindbergh is also our Weapons Specialist and Inventor. Because of him, we have developed machinery, devices, weapons and communications equipment the likes of which are not in use by any other faction in the world.

If you ask me, his skills are despicably wasted on air fryers and grills.

HEY! I'll have this person know I take my job as Chief of the Bullshit Division VERY SERIOUSLY!

But the Chief Commander is right! My own eccentricities aside, I take every single assignment I am handed with the utmost seriousness. I head my own acquisitions division, help delegate paperwork, assign supply runs for materials, test-run new technology in the field, and collaborate with my subordinate officers on whatever it is the Revolutionary Army needs from me!

It isn't as if I'm wanting for projects! I'm constantly updating our gear, everything from maintaining the structural integrity of Sabo's pipe after missions to updating our communications, developing weapons, and engineering brand new modes of transportation. I collaborate with Inazuma on armor and reinforced clothing for field operatives, too! Sabo's style? Designed by him, sewn by Ina, and reinforced by me! And when I have no other tasks of the sort to do myself... that's when I begin creating the more mundane things.
