About The Blog: This is an ask and rp blog for Keigan Nicholas Keogh, the Clerk, from IDV! (RP leaning, but I can do quick asks every so often!) Posts will mostly be written responses, but occasionally I may do drawings depending on the interaction/question!
Rules: Please keep asks and RPs SFW. I will touch on darker themes, as I feel it's important to be conscious of such things when writing these characters and their experiences. I am a multishipper, both in terms of being willing to write multiple relationships and in terms of having multiple characters I enjoy picturing with any given character! About the Muse: Far more emotionally motivated and caring than she will ever admit. Betsy matters so, so much to her, and even with her words being sharp and saying she simply needs an ally to win the trial, her brother's actions hurt, Betsy's newborn is a motivator for her to keep going. Enjoys sweet flavors, despite one's first impression. Takes her tea and coffee with milk and sugar. Femininity is something she has a complicated relationship with. Being a woman has denied her many opportunities, but to her, being a woman and being powerful and knowledgeable are not opposites, even as so many places try to tell her so. She changed her appearance to avoid the fate of rotting in a marriage and unable to act independently. She changed again when she learned Harold was not acting for justice, but for personal gain. A woman can be many things, can't she? To her, it does not matter if she dirties her hands in the name of justice. It matters much more that justice is served, that she did what she had to do. Believes in the necessary evil, and will perform it. It is not about whether due process is followed, but whether justice is served. Only the powerful will be listened to, and so she will be powerful. In investigating her brother's actions and taking over duties so he does not continue ruling for himself and Dr. Mesmer instead of the common people, she will use whatever means she can to claim power and gain a voice, so she will be listened to. So that justice can be served, truly served. Records are important to her. They can be cited and referred to, and as such can be proof of wrong or right. They can show precedent. They can be the key to spotting contradiction, within themselves or within a testimony. Believes in change, in a world where things can be better. In a world where right prevails over wrong, where justice is something that will be served no matter what. Sometimes she is not sure what that means. Her tone is forceful, though, when she speaks of the beliefs she has. Someone has to take these burdens, someone has to do that lonely work. Who else is better suited for it than her?
