With the upcoming Anniversary for Shuuen-Re:act-, I suppose I'd like to say something.
It's definitely been a while since I last posted or reblogged anything, though I assure you that it's just school taking up my schedule.
Right, I just searched up for Shuuen after a long time of not exactly doing much things related and... it baffled me to see more work dedicated to the series from various people than I initially thought.
It made me realize how much I love this "unfinished" series all over again, my heart jumping in joy as I scroll through the fanarts.
It has definitely been a while since I last made my presence known, however that doesn't mean I lost interest.
Shuuen has been and always will be one of the things that take up the majority of my thoughts, due to it's unmatched charm in realistic portrayal of characters.
Someone asked me recently, do I have an idol?
I don't look up to a person in life.
I told her I look up to someone in a story I read, in which she said it was no good because fictional characters were just fictional, they were imaginary people that the authors made up no matter how realistic that story seemed.
I argued that I knew the story was fictional, but the characters were the most realistic factors in that story because they were so close to us real life people.
At that, she had to accept my answer.
What crossed my mind as she asks me about my idol was that even my best classmate wasn't an idol to me, but some certain kids sure are.
You know what I mean, right?
I admire A-ya and C-na for their ability to tune out the world, to stay focused on what they're interested in without getting bothered by people's opinions while staying the kind teens they are at heart.
I admire B-ko and D-suke for being able to meet people's expectations.
I admire C-ta and A-no for their strong feelings, their dedication to another person close to them.
I admire D-ne and B-ka for their innocent hearts, their unwavering determination towards reaching their goals despite how out of reach it may be.
I admire E-ki for the energetic and positive aura he radiates, the dorky yet adorable actions he shows and of course, I can't miss the big heart he has.
I admire E-noru for the love he buries deep down, the childish and pure wish he remains holding onto yet the mature display of thoughts.
I've always been thinking, how could they do that?
They are fictional characters yet realistic representations of teenage struggles, be it greed or inner insecurity.
I have to admit, Shuuen's charm lies in the characters and their actions.
They manage to capture the brightest points yet darkest corners of one's heart, showing me a whole new point of view on life.
A meaningful lesson behind a tragic story.
