happy early valentine’s day to all my shifters spending tomorrow with their dr s/o’s,
or wishing they could.
whether you’re celebrating physically in your dr, planning a date there, falling asleep imagining their arms around you, or just holding that quiet comfort in your chest—please know that it’s real. your feelings are real. your love for them is real. i hope tomorrow feels soft for you, slow and gentle. i hope you get to hear their voice, feel their touch, see their smile whether that’s through a shift, a lucid dream, a daydream, or just your heart knowing they’re waiting for you somewhere. i hope you get the little things too; the small, human moments such as walking beside them somewhere quiet, fingers brushing, them looking at you when you are not looking at them, the way they say your name when no one else is around, the warmth of sitting shoulder to shoulder doing nothing at all. i hope you get to dress up for them, or stay in and be comfortable with them. i hope you get to laugh with them, eat with them, exist beside them in that easy way that feels like home.
and if you cannot be there physically, i hope you still let yourself feel close.
write them a letter and tuck it under your pillow, play the cheesiest songs that remind you of them, rewatch their source and look at them a little softer than usual, imagine what their hand would feel like holding yours..
love does not lose meaning just because it exists across realities, and distance between universes does not erase connection.
it does not dilute devotion.
it does not make a bond any less sincere.
you deserve love in every universe you exist in.
so, wherever you are tomorrow.. whether it is here, there, or somewhere in between, i hope you feel chosen.
i hope you feel adored.
i hope you feel like someone, somewhere, is thinking about you with the same warmth you think about them.
happy valentine’s day to you and your dr lover(s),
may tomorrow be tender, dreamy, and full of the kind of love that feels like it was always meant to find you!
