Pale Blue [ Mitsuki + Mirai ]
Her assurance was slightly depleting as she awaited the answer, tensions building in her own mind whether her deal was a good one or not- No of course it was, Mitsuki couldn’t doubt herself on such genius. Her eyes still widened anticipating a decision as if she was about to make a billion dollar investment: Actually come to think of it….How much would all these meals cost her. Nevermind..! Money wasn’t an object. When you had it.
Though her face seemed to instantly brighten up upon hearing Mirai’s agreement, sensing the sheer enthusiasm laced in the other’s voice made Mitsuki burst into a soft chuckle, slumping back into her chair and wiping a small tear from her eye, hand over her mouth as she continued her laughter. Slowly simmer down due to a conversation that still needed to be had.
"Ah, that’s great to hear Kurimiya-san! I’m sure our other member will be filled with joy to have you on board…" Mitsuki’s eyes instantly fixed onto Mirai’s, focusing on the red rimmed glasses. "Yes…He definitely will be."a soft sigh leaving her as she continued.
"You’ll adore the literary club, we get a constant flow of books ranging from old fairy tales to gardening tips, it’s a really versatile library despite it’s size.- I mean we could get a bigger club room but we’ve simply become too attached to our little safe haven, weird huh?—"
Eyeing Mirai grasp ahold of what seemed to be a necklace— Ah, that was the reason they both happened to be here in the first place; She almost forgot about it, deeming it best to discuss perhaps after their meals.
Speaking of meals.
The waitress came over, interested in their orders. The teen nodded, giving a polite smile and feeding the worker’s interest: “Uhm, I’ll have the pancake stack with maple syrup and a pink lemonade, please.” turning her head to the pale haired lady and awaiting her to finish the order
The sound of Mitsuki's laughter made Mirai's heart flutter in a way that she couldn't put into words, yet made her feel strangely elated. As their eyes met, she nervously shifted in her seat and folded her hands over her lap neatly. The way she described the mysterious second member of the literary club sounded almost ominous and almost had Mirai questioning her sudden decision to join. At the very least, she'd be able to spend casual time with Mitsuki, right?
At the mention of gardening tips, she positively lit up, her eyes widening to the size of saucers. "D-Did you say there are books about gardening?!" she questioned excitedly. "I--" Before Mirai could finish her sentence, the waitress had approached the table, looking eager to take their orders. Fumbling clumsily for the menu, she adjusted her glasses and quickly scanned over all of the options.
What did she feel like, what did she feel like... Oh, that sure looked appetizing. "Ah, I'll have the seared steak and noodle salad, please! And a green tea!" she said urgently, nodding. After scribbling down both orders, the waitress retrieved the menus and headed to the kitchen, leaving the pair alone once again.
Mirai focused her golden eyes on Mitsuki for what felt like a long moment before realizing she was staring -- and possibly creeping the other girl out. She noticeably flushed at this and shifted again, clearing her throat. "S-So... How long have you been in Nox?" she asked, offering a small smile.
