Once you realize you deserve a bright future, letting go of your dark past is the best choice you will ever make.

Few years ago, I would like the wrong guys and wonder why they wonât like me back. I would love the wrong guys and wonder if I wasnât enough. Then I met the guy whom loved me back but it wasnât enough for him to stay. I felt hopeless and helpless, and thought I saw the end. Itâs not easy to find the right one. But donât settle just because. Donât hold on to someone hoping theyâll love you the right way or youâll grow to love them one day. Being single is honestly much better than that in the long run.
Keep hoping and keep on learning. Learn to be people smart and be able to define their actions and purposes. Learn to reject people you donât like and those who donât make you happy. Learn to be more confident day by day. Learn who you want to be and become that person little by little. Learn to do things you thought you would never do. Most importantly, learn to stay healthy physically and emotionally.
By doing so, youâre pulling yourself closer to the right group of people for yourself and eventually youâll attract the right one. These things are easy to say but hard to do, but be patience and keep trying anyway. Save yourself.
âWhat are you thinking about?â Her question interrupted his thoughts. âWell?â She asked again, with her chin rested on her palm. âI was just thinking how good it is to have you around,â he answered, âhow blessed I am to have you by my side.â âBecause with just simply you standing next to me,â he continued, âI become the happiest person alive.â

Not friends. Not enemies. Just strangers with some memories.

Some Basic Friendship Skills
Dos
1. Talk about things that interest others, and not just things that interest you.
2. Share the conversation. Donât talk over others, interrupt others, or seek to be the centre of attention.
3. Be interested in what other people have to say. Ask open questions, and try to find out more.
4. Notice when people do well, and make the effort to praise them for it. Try to be an affirming, and encouraging, friend.
5. Be respectful, considerate and polite. Be sensitive to the feelings of others.
6. Think before you speak. (Sometimes itâs better to say nothing than to speak your mind and upset or offend).
7. Learn how to ask for what you want and need in a non-threatening, and non-defensive way. Donât react; and donât pick needless arguments.
8. Try to understand the perspective of others â and donât just assume that you are right and they are wrong.
9. Look out for others â and be a trusted friend
10. Back off, donât dominate, and give your friends some space.
Donâts
1. Donât brag about what youâve done or what youâve got.
2. Donât put others down.
3. Donât judge and stereotype people.
4. Donât take over the conversation. Let others tell their jokes, and have their say.
5. Donât try to control other people, or to make them do what you want them to do.
6. Donât talk, or gossip, about others.
7. Donât make jokes at othersâ expense.
8. Donât demand perfection â allow your friends to be human, and to sometimes make mistakes.
9. Donât be sensitive and quick to take offense.
10. Donât be mean or stab others in the back.
Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say âMy tooth is achingâ than to say âMy heart is broken.â

Cutting people out of my life doesnât mean I hate them. It means I respect myself.

If someone treats you badly just remember that there is something wrong with them - not you. Normal people donât go around destroying other human beings.

7 Sources of Hurt and Pain
1. Realizing that youâve lost them and can never have them back
2. Reliving the old memories and the fun times that you had
3. Pretending that youâre happy when youâre miserable and sad
4. Being obsessed with the wrong person who will never love you back
5. Regretting how you acted, or the careless things you said
6. Recognizing that itâs your fault that things have turned out bad
7. Being abandoned or rejected by your friends or family.
You donât need a relationship to be complete. You are complete because of who you are, and not because of who you are with.

Sometimes the people around you wonât understand your journey. They donât need to. Itâs not for them.

When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. Itâs not up to other people to keep you encouraged. Itâs up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.

I donât think thereâs anything sadder than when two people are meant to be together and something intervenes.

7 Powerful Steps to Positive Thinking
1. Seek to focus on what you want instead of what you donât want: A mistake we tend to make when weâre faced with a problem is to think and talk about it all the time - instead of focusing our thinking on what we want instead.
2. Recognise that every problem comes with a lesson: Thereâs a lesson to be learned from all that happens to us. We can become a better person - even when things have gone wrong.
3. Donât believe everything you think: Our problems arenât as big as the mind tries to convince us. Donât believe all those negative and self-defeating thoughts.
4. Choose to be grateful in everything: Although itâs hard to be grateful when things are going wrong, we can usually find something we can be grateful for - and the more we choose gratitude, the happier weâll feel.
5. Let go of your need for perfection: If you try to be perfect in everything you do, you will always feel youâre failing, and youâll live with constant stress. Do you best â as perfectionâs not a realistic goal.
6. Let go of your resistance: Accept things as they are - you donât always have to change them. Lifeâs not meant to be a struggle, or a constant battle ground.
7. Seek to be present in everything you do: When you give yourself completely to living in the moment, youâll find that life is easier - and youâll feel much more relaxed.
If you have been brutally broken, but still have the courage to be gentle to others, then you deserve a love deeper than the ocean itself.

12 Things Happy People do Differently
Happy people value and choose:
1. Love over Fear: People, who are truly happy, are less fearful and more loving. They perceive every moment, every challenge, and every person as an opportunity to learn more about themselves and the world.
2. Acceptance over Resistance: Happy people know that you canât really change things by denying and resisting them. So when bad things happen, they donât fight, get angry and complain. Instead, they ask themselves questions like: What can I learn from this? How can I do make this better?
3. Forgiveness over Unforgiveness: Truly happy individuals understand that itâs destructive to hold on to feelings of anger. Instead, they choose to forgive and let go, understanding that (in the end) forgiveness is a gift they give themselves.
4. Trust over Mistrust: They trust themselves ⌠and they have learned to figure out the trustworthy people â and those they should avoid.
5. Meaning over Ambition: Happy people do the things they do because it adds meaning and purpose to their lives. Theyâre not driven by the need to gain acceptance, praise and approval from others.
6. Challenges over Obstacles: Happy people see problems as challenges, and as opportunities to explore new ways of seeing and doing things. That is, challenges are something that help them to grow.
7. Selflessness over Selfishness: Happy people seek out ways ways to give to others - of themselves, their time, of their money, and their gifts. That is, theyâre not self-focused and self-absorbed.
8. Kindness over Harshness: Happy people are gentle and kind with themselves and others. They know the importance and power of self-love, self-forgiveness and self-acceptance - and they freely love, forgive and accept other people, too.
9. Gratitude over Ingratitude: No matter where they are, or who they are with, happy people have the capacity to see beauty where others would only see ugliness â and theyâre quick to express their gratitude, as well.
10. Being Present over Being Disengaged: Happy people know how to live in the moment, appreciating what they have and who they are with. They are not constantly being dragged down by the past, or distracted by what could happen (or go wrong) in the future.
11. Positivity over Negativity: Regardless of the circumstances of life, happy people are able to adopt and maintain a positive, and upbeat, attitude and perspective.
12. Taking Responsibility over Blaming: Happy people assume full ownership for their lives. They assume responsibility for their life, choices, decisions, actions, reactions, beliefs and attitudes.
