Since there’s nothing on tumblr, it occurred to me that most people on here might not know the details. Maybe everyone on here has stayed silent because they just don’t know what happened. 

On February 28, 2015, Deven Guilford, a 17 year old boy, was driving to his girlfriend’s house after playing basketball at church, according to the police report from the Michigan State Police. On his way, he flashed his lights at a passing car, because it appeared the car’s high beams were on. The car was an officer, who pulled Deven over for flashing his lights. Deven was the third person this officer pulled over for flashing his lights. 

Deven was clearly confused after being pulled over. The officer made no efforts to ease Deven’s confusion. 

There is a side-by-side video comparison from Deven’s cell phone and the officer’s body camera. The video shows Deven asking why he was being pulled over, and the officer making no efforts to explain his reasoning. 

The officer in the video is Sgt. Jonathan Frost, who ripped Devon Guilford out of his car, tased him, and shot him seven times. 

Devon was unarmed. 

The officer is facing no charges for shooting and killing an unarmed teenager for not complying with a traffic stop, despite the fact that he had committed no crime whatsoever.
