Baby fever
I was obligated to redraw this one with Dunkaerion 🧘♀️
It's so obvious that Percy isn't Rick's favourite character, and it bothers him that his actual favourite characters don't have the hype that Percy has, which is why he'll probably never officially quit writing about Percy/referencing him while also going out of his way to humiliate and degrade him.
the way the Annabeth-Rachel conflict in botl was rebranded as Annabeth and Rachel fighting over Percy when it's really just Annabeth bullying Rachel who was pretty much just trying to ignore her....
Wished Percy told her to stfu. Rachel didn't deserve that. Beth needs to get the fuck over herself. Leave your insecurities at the door, love.
These fans spent years acting like they were beefing while also acting as if Rachel started the beef so they could justify their hatred of Rachel when it was just Annabeth being messy while Rachel ignored her.
Now recently, in their poor attempt to be "feminist", they've taken to saying that Annabeth and Rachel shouldn't have been fighting over a "stupid boy" ( they love to insult Percy) and that Rick was wrong for making them do that.
Like, I have a lot of problems with Rick's writing, but Rachel was so clearly not fighting with that girl, but it would kill them to acknowledge that their fave was being mean asf to Rachel for no good reason, so they have to act as if the meanness were coming from both sides.
Annabeth is a mean person, and characters are allowed to have flaws, but when that shit is portrayed as anything other than a flaw, that's when I grow to dislike that character.
I am currently reading your story about dark perpollo and I have been obsessed with it since the post you made.
And fun fact, when I first discovered the said post I also stumbled upon a song “Judgment of Paris” by Arwen Wen(don’t know much about author otherwise) and during the part of Aphrodite she sings:”I swear this upon the Styx!” -and I have been daydreaming ever since about Percy swearing to help Leto and singing it with the same tone and emotions like voice actress even if doesn’t make any mount of sense.
Oh, I totally get what you mean. Percy is making it his mission to help and protect Leto.
Poor guy could have never predicted that helping her was going to lead him into an insanely unhealthy relationship with Apollo.
Btw, the fic and its name were inspired by "Like Animals" by BTS, so you can give that a listen.
My Perses Diogenes fic is also going to have a chapter or more inspired by this song. I can't wait to write them because, whew, the passion!

Right answers only
Hermes: Where does Percy belong? Right answers only. Poseidon: Atlantis! Apollo: In my arms! Zeus: On the floor, kneeling before me. Poseidon, holding his trident: I dare you to repeat that. Zeus, grabbing his lightning bolt: On. The. Floor. Kneel-ling. Posedion and Zeus argue and fight Hermes: Shocked he hasn't aimed it at you, brother. Apollo: He will, give it time. Anyway, there are two places my pearl rightfully belongs. In my arms and my lap. He's on my lap more often... not that I'm complaining. Happy even. Hermes snickers, and they watch the elders fight.
my baby lives in shades of cool
Big fan of Percy telling Poseidon he's in a relationship with Apollo AFTER Percy gets pregnant.
He's already going to be mad asf when Percy pulls up with Apollo talking about some "we're in a relationship", and then he drops the pregnancy news right after Poseidon begins to calm down, which then starts a whole next mess because now Triton is joining Poseidon in his raging.
Let's talk about Apollo again.
So, I read a ton of fics of Apollo, and while I love the fics (perpollo! what's not to love?!) I can't help but be a little disappointed when it comes to fighting scenes, especially on Apollo's end.
We all know how good a fighter Percy is. Baby boy is a force of nature. Great sword-fighting skills, knows how to throw a nasty punch and kick, and is an overall amazing fighter. Great leadership and strategy skills. Not to mention powers! Tide that shapes and mends worlds, leaving nothing behind. He earns his title and shows he's a badass. Hell, I don't think he's done growing.
However, with Apollo, it's like he's only shown to be good at archery. Percy beats him in close combat, and while I don't hate it, I wish it were a little more accurate. We know he's more powerful than Percy, and trust me, Percy loves strength. (He's a sub, doesn't want to admit it.)
So, this summer or so, I want to make posts that show and explain that Apollo is not a one-trick pony. He's a master at almost everything. Art isn't just beautiful pieces, paintings, songs, and dances. Martial Arts and sports are also a part of art. Apollo would dominate some fields (probably all, who knows) because sports and combat are part of art. He's one of the most powerful Olympians, which makes Zeus paranoid.
I love to learn and talk about Apollo, and hopefully, after reading this, these ideas will give people ideas so Apollo doesn't seem one-dimensional in fighting. I'm not saying you can't write him being an archery god (I mean, he is one) or control what you write. I just hope this feed will branch out with ideas so it doesn't get repetitive. Plus, I want Apollo's greatness to show.
Trust me. Apollo is bad ass, but I don't think people realize how. He's graceful and dignified, yes, but he's not afraid of getting down and dirty, that includes combat and fighting. (Percy digs it. Trust me.)
So, stay tuned.
