Kai is growing on me and I decided to draw him.

And I think I kicked myself in the foot because now I like him more than before. 💀

I tried "fixing" whatever they did with the angle of his face and to make him look a bit more his age. Since he doesn't look 29 in the game at all, I gave him a few aging and smile lines, because I'm not really sure FB does them for whatever reason or at least not that detailed if they're not from BB.

Even if Kai may have some amazing genetics (he prob does), he looks like the type to be very expressive, so it's normal for him to have some lines. Hell, Trent and Noah would have them too. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But I did change very small things. I used a model as reference that I thought may have looked a little more like him, so I gave him a different nose and without realizing I tanned him more than necessary (that's probably how he'd realistically look by the end of the season anyway lol). I don't color pick the colors from the pictures, I tried to guess.

But yeah... I think I made myself fall in love with this man 🫠 he was supposed to be my placeholder until casa and shield from Rui. I'm going to have a hard time in the future unless they ruin him too.

Volume 3 Thoughts

Babe, I didn't think I would miss you already. 😭 I'm having my MC explore before they couple up again and wasn't expecting to be attached already.

Since Trent does mention that he is interested in Amari during the double dates. I wasn't too surprised that he just lets Amari kiss him. I still hated reading it though.

The way they've written him, it seems like Trent is the kind of guy that sort of lets people walk all over him socially because he's conflict avoidant. He's probably overly considerate of Amari because he doesn't want to embarrass her. But she's doing it to herself and needs to calm down fr. i'm still gonna boot her off the island if i get the chance though.

I like Rui, but I'm so bored. 😶

The bombshells are cute, still hate Big Brother designs lol. Like I'll flirt with Kai, but hope he's into the other girls (maybe Myra? I think Noah is gonna exit lol). I'll give Iris some grace since she's doing her thing as a bombshell but she better not go overboard like Amari.

I'm so disappointed that they didn't let MC and Trent at least have a chat this volume. and I really hope Trent SPEAKS UP like bro, just say what's on your mind. 🤬

Trent's communication is honestly what won me over. OG LI is way too focused on the flirting aspect that I'm getting bored when talking to him.

I had my MC and Trent decide to become friends during the double date and I was surprised to see that in the next challenge, he checks in with her to see if they're still okay. and maybe he still does this regardless of the option you pick? but its still nice to have a LI check in with you.

I enjoy that MC is able to call Trent out and have them sort of talk through it.

and then he actually listens and circles back to that conversation. It's bare minimum from Fusebox, but I'll take it.

As much as I wanted to start their connection and give Trent a kiss; I decided Trent would need to work a little more for it. 😭

Despite Kelvin and Jordan being cute, I got icked out of going through the bff route because of the islanders' commentary of "oh you two are going to end up together". It reminds me of when friend groups in high school/middle school would take the concept of shipping and apply it to their friends/classmates. So my immediate response is to just shut it down and never cross the line out of spite.

If the writers had kept it to maybe 3-4 conversations and then give MC the chance to determine the relationship with bff, i feel like it could've been better? 😔
