Candlecup blushed a fade of lavender at those kind words and let out another smile. “Me too. It’s v-very nice to have company once in a while…” She looked down at the ground and back at Cupps, smiling even more.

“I… u-um. I-” Candlecup felt herself tense up trying to say this one simple sentence. Why is it so hard to let it out? It’s just a few little words, she knows she can do this.

The teacup took a deep breath and finally spoke, but quietly “I like you.”

That wasn’t loud enough, was it? Candlecup thought. Shoot.

“I-I’ve happened to overhear a-about your feelings when t-talking to Chip. It’s not t-the right thing to do in m-my opinion, b-b-but I just couldn’t help it! I-I just didn’t know you f-feel the same way as I do-” Candlecup tensed up with a huge fade of purple covering her face, her fire crackling once in a few seconds.
