Greetings readers and writers! I'm Chip_Toss, but you can call me Chip. I've been writing since I was thirteen years old, though my first publicly published fic came after my 14th birthday.

I write for a variety of fandoms on ao3, including (but not limited to):

- Moomins

- Star Wars

- Ace Attorney

- Harry Potter (rarely)

- Doctor Who (rarely)

I have other works in fandoms that I've either written for only once (such as Generation Loss or the Life Series) or that I've stopped writing for (such as JRWI Riptide)

I am a very infrequent updater, but I hope that having this to post my rambling thoughts to instead of just my head or my notes app might help.

I currently have 5 WIPs, only four of which I actually plan to finish some day.

Harry Potter and the Prophecies Begin (Harry Potter & Warrior Cats) - a series that I intend to follow through with to the very end, including taking notes from the books as I go. It follows the characters from Warrior Cats as humans in the Harry Potter world, with ages and timelines adjusted to fit so Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze are in first year at the same time as Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

No More, Not Again (Doctor Who) - a story following the Tenth Doctor as he decides to abandon Martha and Jack in favor of finding a way to bring back the Master after the Year that Never Was. I'm really trying to finish this one, but writers block is killing me.

Fresh Oak and Honey (Moominvalley) - A story I started when I was fourteen about Moomintroll going feral because he can smell emotions. Honestly just an excuse for me to write gorey scenes, but people seem to really like it so I'll finish it some day.

Mumriks of Sorts (Moominvalley) - my oldest WIP about Moominpapa and Joxter going on adventures in their youth. I actually have a lot of the plot planned out, I just never got to writing it.

I also have around 122 unfinished works in my notes app but it would take far too long for me to outline each of those.

Hopefully getting noticed here and being able to put my thoughts out into the world instead of the void will help my motivation a bit more.

Going to be logging off for a bit due to some posts on this site making my depression worse. It won't matter too much since I don't plan on publishing anything any time soon, but I thought I'd put this out there just in case.

Every time I scroll past my pinned post I'm like "yep I will Definitely be getting to those fics mentioned. I definitely have opened them in the past three months in order to work on them. Yep mhm."

I love it when I post something like "Don't worry about me and my 30+ unfinished wips" and I get like 100 notes because we're all the same 😭

So I have this great idea for a fic. I've written >20k words for it. I've got it all outlined, I know the plot, I even know the ending.

But one of the main characters is an OC and I'm worried people won't like it because of that (I know, irrational) so I haven't worked on it in a while.

But! Because cringe is dead and I'll be damned if I don't get my magnum opus out there, I'm gonna start working on it again. I may post a prequel fic as a starter (since it will be a series) but idk.

I love that my past 5 (now 6) posts have been about the same fic that I've started working on. I also love simultaneously knowing that this fic will likely never see the light of day because I'll get burnt out before I write enough to get the plot going

Writing will have you forgetting the strangest things. I forgot that August has 31 days.

Sometimes you write something flawlessly without mistake and sometimes you write out "kneat" with absolute confidence

Was checking what people were saying in their bookmarks of my fic and found one that just said "underrated" and it made me smile like an idiot. I hope that person has a great day

Sometimes I really hope fic writers see the messages I leave when I bookmark their works

Cause sometimes I don't know what to comment, so I'll just give a general "this fic was so good I'm going to read it again" kind of message when I bookmark it.

I know that I read what people say when they bookmark my works so I just hope I'm able to make people smile :)
