Writers and Artists Resist, it's in our nature. We were glad to then host Ides of Trump, a postcard making session and live reading this past March. Attendees shared thier thoughts, stories, poetry and emotions about the state of the union. Thanks to all who continue to do so. #writersresist #nowall #chiprc

CHIPRC Game Night in April: Catan, Brad Adita official pretzel distributor, Madison WI Radio host bobblehead, and a letterpress stamp with a secret message. Hope you can drop by future game night’s, they’re always different!
Our good friends at the Transit Residency sure throw one tasty fundraiser, Eat your Words an Edible Books event we hosted on April 1. Here are some of the entries and guests.
We were very lucky to host the women of OOMK zine(one of my kind) from London for a Chicago zinester meet and greet April 9th. Thanks to The Ladydrawers collective and Big Mouth comics distro for coordinating this event.
We've gone green, at least our GR2750 has! Riso colors now include Black, Blue, Brown and Green! Print during Sunday Open Hours 12-5p.
Fun-a-day ended in January so we hosted a pot luck in February for people to share thier projects and cooking skills!
We're so excited to be working for the third year with Transit Residency on thier Inbound program which brings an artist to Chicago to work at CHIPRC and exhibit at CAKE! Submit now, applications close Feb 28. Go to transit residency.org for details.
Extra extra, New issue of the Wax paper out now! Pick one up at chiprc! Published by Hans Herrick, an alum of our Wasted Pages writing workshop.
Two gems from January Game Night: from the junk drawer zine collection care of Eric Bartholomew we had Stop Thief; and from the collection of cartoonist Alex Ball we had Resistance. We Approve! Game Night's are the last Wednesday each month, see you then.
Happy Accidents was our first Riso graph workshop of 2017. Led by artist Jonathan Stutz, we created a zine of collected work drawn and printed on 1/21/17. Look for him to lead more workshops with us this year!
Fun-a-day is happening every Sunday at CHIPRC Open Hours. Drop by and get cracking on projects to start off 2017 creatively. We'll host an exhibit in Feb of work created, so be in touch if you want to add to the show!
No one does it like Rich Salamander. His version of Screeching Weasel's Cool Kids was totally fitting at the #FLYERSIDE showcase at Quenchers 11/27. Thanks to all the bands and MPshows for the support.
